Chekov's Age Revealed?

First, I am not sure if this has been discussed but felt this was worth talking about on its own merit.

As we discussed here, Playmates launched a dedicated site for the upcoming line of Star Trek merch for the upcoming movie.

Something that seemingly hasn't been discussed in depth is the information for Chekov.

Chekov is a 12 years younger than Kirk, so 29 sounds right. It also gives us a date of 2262 for the film.

One thing is certain, if that's the background of the Chekov we know from TOS, he sure underachieved.

According to Memory Alpha, Chekov was born in 2245. If he's 17 yrs old in the film, then it takes place around 2262.
