While it is a good point that Jeri has a restaurant & family in LA, that might not stop her from taking a job in NYC. That's part of an actors life.

Who knows why they are playing musical ADAs on SVU. Honestly, I haven't had problems with any of them, though again Alex was my favorite.

Mariska's character is just your standard textbook cliche American character, only with enough arrogance to feed China.

The roducer's name is Dick Wolf and he has a bad habit of firing people as often as he changes his socks. His latest "actions" in Law And Order SVU is the reason why I decided to quit watching that series.

I don't think she is poor actress. She's definitely not super talented and best there is, not even best on Voyager, but I've seen much worse.

My roomie watched the first 2 or 3 seasons of SVU and I'd catch an episode here or there. I enjoyed it. It's one of those shows that I wish I'd seen more of. Perhaps I'll catch up with it on DVD.

And that's, of course, incorrect. Jeri was on Boston Public for 3 seasons, during which there were many other cast changes. She hardly caused show's demise.

Didn't Diane Neal (i.e. Casey Novak) leave SVU of her own accord? Most 'ADA actors' have. I can't remember the last time one's been fired or non-renewed.

And Conviction didn't have Novak. That was Alex Cabot (Stephanie March's character).

Why is Jeri Ryan supposedly a show killer when Voyager went on for four long, moderately successful seasons? Boston Public lasted significantly longer than some of DEK's shows and sounded far fetched to begin with, and Jeri Ryan was away having a baby when the braindead CBS suits pulled the plug on the reasonably popular Shark.

I never though Jeri Ryan was a bad actress. She did a good job as 7 of 9, on BP, and on Shark. I am sure she will do well on SVU.
