Jeri Ryan (AKA 7 of 9) to Guest Star on Law & Order: SVU in April

About 2 minutes of screen time. She plays a smart, smug defense attorney very well.

But it was short. Which is probably why she took it--one day's shooting and home to her baby.

Fortunately, watching the episode was not a waste because the other guest star was Delroy Lindo, and he is hot. :)

^ I have a couple episodes on my TiVo that I need to watch. If I see her in any of the episodes I'll post something here!

Who was better looking, Cabot or Novak?

Cabot looked like a classy woman, while Novak looked like the "girl next door".

I think bith of the actresses left the show to do other things, not that they were fired. I think that there is a fear of type casting, that if one stays in a role too long, they will be only thought of as "that girl from Law and Order".

Novak all the way! :techman:

I can't speak for the actress who was playing Cabot but what I've seen on several message boards, Diane Neal who played Novak was simply fired because the producer wanted a change.

Since you are obviously a L&O fan can you tell me what Diane Neal's "real" haircolor is? There is little or no evidence on the interweb. With the abysmal 2009 tv season SVU reruns are about the only thing to fall back on.

I think that her real hair color is the red blond she had in her first episodes but I'm not 100% sure.

As for re-runs, a channel I can catch is showing early re-runs of the show (in which Cabot is still the ADA). I'm happy for that.

Yeah, she only showed up the last 15 minutes of the show. Not very exciting.

Why is Jeri Ryan supposedly a show killer when Voyager went on for four long, moderately successful seasons? Boston Public lasted significantly longer than some of DEK's shows and sounded far fetched to begin with, and Jeri Ryan was away having a baby when the braindead CBS suits pulled the plug on the reasonably popular Shark.

Amazing how CBS didn't want to be pigeonholed for rural sitcoms or superhero adventure shows, but are willing to be pigeonholed for being the network of Survivor and CSI. Amazing.
