Remember a Dr. Who episode about gargoyles?

Aquehonga

Fleet Captain
I saw it on either PBS-13, WLIW-21, or NJN about 20 years ago.

So the episode is probably older than that. Perhaps much older:confused:

It was a really good interesting story. Anyone know the name of this episode?

Thanks for any, all help:)

Do you remember anything else about the episode? Do you know which Doctor it was? What did he look like? That might help to narrow down the search.

Would this be the gargoyle you are referring too

If so then it's definetley the Daemons

Mr Magister - "A rationalist, existentialist priest indeed!"

If not, the other option is The Awakening, a fifth Doctor story which has a gargoyle able to appear inside the TARDIS

I think that's it:)

Almost positive:hugegrin:

The episode seemed like it was probably from the early '70's.

Thank you:cool:

The 1971 Jon Pertwee story "The Dæmons" features a gargoyle villain.

I just like the fact that Demonland was asking for more info at the exact same moment that Brendan Moody was answering this question with the info given. :p

I did see Brendon Moody's answer but was asking for more info just in case that wasn't the episode the OP was originally asking about. Just trying to help out a fellow Who fan. I don't see how that's funny. :p

captcalhoun - sorry for misreading the date. Mea culpa. My bad.

Demonland - Well, back when I misread the time/date stamp, I thought it was funny because it would have been someone asking for more info at the exact same time as someone answered the question with the info presented (as I said originally). However, since I'm an idiot, none of that applies.

I'll be going now....sorry to have bothered everyone.
