Wow, I love this! So simple and yet so iconic. That's actually the first poster coming out of this movie I'd really like to put up on my wall.Oooh, I really like this one !
That's fantastic. Odd thought: what would have happened if this had been the first glimpse we'd gotten of the new Enterprise? Would have been fun trying to puzzle out what the hell we're looking at.
That's my fave too.

Putting aside my utter disdain for the entire project, I have to wonder about the creative choices that went into approving the two most striking posters, which show San Francisco being destroyed in one (like someone said, it looks more like Cloverfield 2 than anything related to Star Trek) and the Enterprise very small and clearly running for its life in the other. Not exactly a heroic portrayal of the most iconic ship in science fiction history, now is it? Would it have killed them to have the Enterprise attacking the Narada instead of fleeing it?

On the issue of the posters, yes. On the issue of how the posters reflect the film, the film itself, art, life, the universe and everything else....no. So much no I can't even quantify it.

I like the blurry one and the drill hitting the bay one. I like the latter because it has a kind of Towering Inferno epic disaster feel... and that stuff gets people's attention, c.f. Knowing. who cares about creepy dudes in the woods? people wanna see some crazy apocalypse shit.
