And Brunt... will he never learn?!
That depends on what you want him to learn.
Mwahahahaha

He needs to stop plotting to get further ahead and just purchase his promotions like a normal Ferengi... especially after that display on Empok Nor.

Well, that's a relief. It didn't make sense to me as "Never Ending" in the early publicity.

Yes, Satisfaction is Not Guaranteed was, I thought, better than any of the Ferengi episodes. I always liked Quark and Nog, but other Ferengi just get on my nerves.
Also, the Dominion story in that volume, Olympus Descending, is utterly fantastic. It's one of my favorites from the DS9 relaunch, and it leads directly into Warpath (don't start reading Warpath unless you have the time to finish the whole book at once).
BTW, ZMistress, you have the most awesome Avatar of all time. I can't help but laugh every time I look at it.![]()
That is so good to hear. As a writer of Star Trek fiction, I try very hard to keep my work fully consistent with the show itself. After reviewing Deep Space Nine in its entirety, and numerous episodes more than once, I realized that I had a problem. According to the Founder leader, the changelings did not communicate in words when in the Great Link, or when linked one to another. That necessarily gave me pause, given that I do communicate in words with my readers. I worked desperately to craft my scenes between changelings and within the Great Link in a way that would convey the "otherness" of their communication. To what extent I succeeded is clearly of subjective measure, so it's always gratifying to hear that I satisfied a reader. Thanks for the kind words. And, so far, Olympus Descending has been excellent. I'm reading it now! The writing from Odo's perspective is just spot on...
