Actually I spoke to the Dean about the matter; we're not pursuing any kind of action against her, but I felt it would be best to be on record first, in case she decided to be nasty about it and start telling stories. My office door also has a glass pane, which I keep uncovered specifically for such reasons of liability.

Technically, our university does not have an official policy against professors and students having a relationship, so long as it is consensual and both parties are of age. It is, however, strongly discouraged. And as several have mentioned, it would be unethical due to the nature of a teacher-student relationship. I did date a former student once, but it was a couple years after she graduated, and we ran into each other. (Didn't work out. I'm now happily engaged to someone else.)
