McCoy sexier than Kirk ??????? !!!!!!!!

Is it just me or am I finding the "new" McCoy more attractive than the "new" Kirk? Neither of them really gets me going, but between the two of them I'd have to say McCoy is more appealing which is just not right! They weren't kiddin when they said "forget everything you know"....the STAR TREK universe if friggin up ended w/ McCoy being hotter....what...huh???

Anyhoo, I'd like to hear from other ladies on the board what their opinion is...am I the minority or in the majority. I'd also like to hear from some objective men (don't worry it doesn't make you gay)...so any men that are secure with their sexuality please feel free to comment as well.

My German brother: I knew there were going to be PLENTY of dudes who say they can't comment because their men so they can't even judge another man's appearance. We all know that's not true and they are just not choosing to do so because it makes them "appear gay"....whatever...!

That is why I said only if you are secure with your sexuality will you be able to comment and you are obviously very secure...I am able to comment about a woman and appreciate (or not) her beauty etc....and I'm most certainly not gay -- just secure with who I am...so with that being said....... that new Uhura is bangin huh? LOL

I still like both equally. Now, I agree that Deforest Kelley wasn't exactly hawt, but Urban is, and I'm fine with that. I'm personally glad that JJ has given us a more attractive Mccoy now.

I guess you're right, Cakes. Only guys who fear they'd come across as gay when talking about other men's looks are unable to comment on such a question. It's sad, really, when someone is so insecure of their own sexuality.

It's a sacrilege to say that around here, but I don't find Zoë Saldaña particularly sexy. Jennifer Morrison on the other hand ... yummy! I guess I'm going to be banned now. It's nice to have known you.

I am, too, I can, too, and my vote goes to Urban, too. He is older and more mannish (is that a proper English word?) than Pine with his boyish good looks (even when he has this bad boy bloody nose).
However, this is only because this is a McCoy-Kirk discussion. Otherwise I would give a 'Shaun of the Dead'/'Hot Fuzz'-size hooray for Simon Pegg - his Scotty is something I'm really looking forward to (particularly since I never thought about Pegg ever being Scotty)!

What about Diora Baird or Rachel Nichols? I always had a thing for Orion girls, even when they were not green...

Since this is a new timeline anyway, the old canon is dead (or was merely used to shoe-horn in the new canon) and the new canon can do whatever it wants to do. So, when Urban McCoy is more attractive than Pine Kirk, so be it!

McCoy has always been kinda cute. Being younger now, he's cuter. No problem there.

Kirk is still hotter than McCoy. Spock remains the hottest of them all, by a wide margin, which is as it should be. All is right in the universe.

Remember how Jadzia reacted to seeing Spock in person?

Sulu and Chekov should also be attractive. Scotty, well, not so much. All those remain consistent as well.

Getting the relative hotness of all the characters right is of course the most important thing for Star Trek's continued success.

Urban has a smarter, tougher look to his face. Pine kinda looks like a clueless pretty boy.

They are all hot -- like Trek characters are supposed to be. I think Urban is hot but we haven't seen very much of him in any of the trailers. All the trailers have been too Kirk oriented but from what I can see they are not playing upon Urban/McCoy's fine rugged good looks. Pine is sexy with those fine blue eyes and rugged face. Of course Quinto is hot and starting to boil. Even Pegg has a charming look to him. Checkov will appeal to the teeny boppers in a big way. Take your pick - I think they all are very good looking and very well cast. Now if we could only be sure about their acting...... our worries would all go away.
