Have you ever written a love letter?

I've written a few, but not for many years. Although my old girlfriend and I do send each other cards on Christmas and Birthdays, and those could be considered love letters-- in a Platonic and post-romantic way.

I wrote a two or four page one about, oh, ten or so years ago. Suffice to say I just try to avoid "love" and fill my time with other stuff.

I don't recall ever writing one, since I personally find them a bit uncomfortable and icky.

If I have something to say, I prefer to say it in person (and then there is always plausible deniability.)

Not very mushy though, mostly facts about how I felt at the time... and nothing racy...

I had to take a creative writing class for my major and picked poetry over short-story. I wrote a couple of poems inspired by Hubby. Kinda mushy. My friend teared up.

Yes, I have written them. The last one just a few weeks ago actually (on Valentine's Day ). I also received several love letters in the past. I can't remember the last one, though.

I wish! No, she really became an Egyptologist. Of course, I was always attracted to her buxom brain, but that even surprised me!

About 10 years ago would have been the last one I wrote. I needed to articulate and not be interrupted, distracted. It worked well enough. As usual the feelings were unrequited and the idea got shelved

Which is exactly why I stopped writing them fifteen years ago.
