Our waiter gave us about $40 extra in change, and I wanted to blow it all on hookers.
But nobody wanted to do that.![]()
My wife is going away for two nights. I bought more beer.

Probably a wise choice. I understand $40 won't get you much in the way of hookers. Ask Hugh Grant.![]()
I bought a pound of decaf Sumatra. I rarely go decaf, but I've been on a coffee kick lately, and as I poured my ninth mug of coffee yesterday evening, feeling vaguely lightheaded and unreasonably enthusiastic, I thought maybe decaf might be a good idea -- you know, just for the last 6-8 cups of the day.![]()
You know, it wasn't half bad! I was very anxious about trying such a thing, but after fully-caffienating myself with two cups of an extra bold, the subsequent 5 cups of decaf were really quite nice.I bought a pound of decaf Sumatra. Oh the horror!![]()
That sounds delish! I did buy the fixin's for a really lovely dinner: I made a perfect tuna steak -- so moist and tender it fell apart at the slightest touch, perfectly cooked with just a hint of kosher salt, black pepper, fresh dill, and a spritz of fresh squeezed lime. Oh, it was heavenly. I made some tender steamed asparagus to go with it.Today after work I got a mani/pedi then dinner - sirloin salad and red wine.![]()

I, uh, drink more tea than I do coffee. I like it strong too, so usually brew two tea bags per cup. About my sixth mug of Irish Breakfast tea one night (that's 12 bags), I decided I'd better go decaf on that as well.I bought a pound of decaf Sumatra. The jitters are what make it so enjoyable! I love brewing loose leaf, though I don't do it as often. My whole family are big tea drinkers. I have a drawer full of dozens of different varieties. My mom is friends with the woman who runs Teany, a little tea shop here in NYC, started by Moby and his xgf (my mom's friend). She sends my mom all the new teas she's thinking of trying out in her shop, so I get a lot of tea from her -- which is funny, because it means the tea is shipped to my mom's friend in NYC, then to my mom in Seattle, who sends it back to me in NYC.I, uh, drink more tea than I do coffee. Now that I have my new tea pot, which lets me brew it up a liter at a time, I'm running on three or four liters of tea a day. Lose leaf earl grey tea.
After the first day the jitters became less of a problem. But it sure does help with the focus.![]()
