This picture is from www.entertainmentearth.com I'm Suprised how great these ships look! I mean, look at the ''Bird of Prey'' it has the ''etched ingravings'' under the ''mussels'' of the wings! Not even the japanese toy companys go that far for detail. So for me this looks promiseing! Who else will be buying these when they come out?

Wow. Those are some afordable critters. I hope the second wave will bring us a few ships more close to the current timeline of Star Trek, I'd love to get my hands on a Prometheus or Defiant :)

1:50 scale... That means they're how big? :)

That joke was done to death in another thread...

The Enterprise-A would be about 20 feet long...

They probably meant to say something like 1:5000, which would make the Enterprise-A slightly less than 2 1/2 inches and the Enterprise-D about 5 inches...

^From what I have read on various toy news sites, these ships will all be in the 4-6 Inch range, Which would explain the ''Higher'' price point!($14.95 per ship)

LOL Actually, it wasn't meant to be a joke... LOL I was still half asleep when I asked the question and didn't think to look up the "actual" measurements of the ships.

Is it possible that they're 1:500?

Just figured I'd show everbody a picture of the NU-E from HOT WHEELS! Notice the ''Red'' bussards, when there supposed to be ''BLUE'' Oh.. And what in the world is up with that Gold ''rim'' under the Bridge dome? And they are also releasing the ''Narada'' (TWO differant Versions!), U.S.S.SARATOUGA, U.S.S. BOZEMAN, H.M.S. BOUNTY, and ''Battle damaged versions of every ship! And the ships themselves WILL indeed be die-cast metal, not just the stands!( like the ''Johnny Lightning'' series) And ''BorgMan'' wave 2 will be A ''Battle Damaged'' wave, Wave 3 will be the Re-named ships, Plus the ''NARADA'' Sorry to dissapoint you, but are ''Other'' favorite ships or ''NOWHERE'' on the rador as of now!:(

1:500? That would make Enterprise-A about two feet long.

A plastic model from AMT/ERTL or Polar Lights... Possible.

A toy from Mattel/Hot Wheels... VERY unlikely.

Where are these likely to be available once they are out?
I want.
Gimme.
These Are supposed to be available ''EVERYWHERE'' I'm talking at, Wal-mart, Target, Toys ''r'' us, Hastings, Hot Topic, and other places. However if you want to make ''sure'' you get these I would go to www.entertainmentearth.com & www.bigbadtoystore.com :techman:
Those look way better than the ones I used to have...
If you mean the ''OLD'' micro machines ''or'' even the JAPANESE, Furuta, & Konami, ships then Yes! These are Light years ahead of those!:techman:

Blegh, someone has to explain to me, why would you want battle damaged models? I'd rather have new models than battered-up old ones. Meh...

Wow... That argument could be transplanted right into a "relic" guitar thread over on Harmony-Central.com. LOL

Because it's a relatively inexpensive way to get more mileage out of expensive-to-make molds.
