From the Diary of Oliver Queen

Note to self: Ollie, NEVER--what EVER you do--never EVER loan Tess Mercer another one of your planes . . . . Just . . . don't . . . . Bitch can't be trusted with'em.

I am all for killing off Jimmy.

Chloe should get pregnant and have a son named Jimmy Olsen and that kid grows up to be the Jimmy that hangs around Lois and Clark after he becomes Superman.

Tess looks GREAT in that robe.
She did, didn't she? I'm finding her quite hot tonight.
She looked smokin' tonight! I have no idea why.

she straightened her hair and lessed the make up which was great.

Tess: "There was just one parachute?"

Clark: "Yeah, turns out the pilot took the other one. He said so after I tracked him down and got him to admit you rigged the whole disaster."

Tess: "How...how did you figure that out?!"

Clark: "I didn't. I tricked you with...Acting!"

Tess: "Genius!"

Later at Kent farm,
Chloe: "Clark you're ability to see the good in people is what makes you special, and like a total fool."

Clark: "Says the bitch who keeps seeing the good in a creepy paramedic stalker?"

Jimmy making an increasing stupid and naive Chloe cry was amusing. He only tried to warn her about Davis 100 times in the space of 40 minutes.

Jimmy will turn into a Mighty Morphine Power Ranger in the season finale and destroy Doomsdavis. Then JIMMY EAT WORLD!

Woohps, I missed the last 10 minutes. I was eating during the episode, then my dad called and we talked, so I missed the end, guess I'll have to watch it later. This episode was pretty boring, we got all of what 3 seconds of seeing Clark jump out of the plane? They robbed me of the visuals I wanted to see of him slamming into the ground. That's kinda how I feel about this episode right now, like i was slammed into the ground.

Man, that was boring! I literally fell asleep. (The the commercials woke me up.)

I thought Chloe was supposed to be the smart one. But after watching this you'd think she was an effen moron.

I thought it was a pretty decent episode, low Bs for me or a "Good", eh make that an "Average" but high/borderline.

I just wish that the scene with Clark saving Tess was better done and less, well the typical Smallville "one-minute wonder" premature ejaculations as the climaxes are. I mean the plane is going to crash, Clark causes Tess to pass out, he kicks open the door then jumps out... then SMASH CUT TO COMMERCAIL! Later we're told... "Uh I used the... parachutes! And, uh, we landed safely and you were put in the hospital! That's the ticket!"

It would've been a perfect opportunity to finally let Clark friggin' FLY!

I did like the Red/Blue blir bit amd Clark working on the dual identity and changing in a phone booth. That was neat. And the stuff with Jimmy and Chloe was also well done and, well, I agree with Jimmy that Chloe isn't being a very good wife in not believing Jimmy and his claims about Davis.

Tess has been looking hotter and hotter but there's still just "something" about her I don't like. Mostly in her face.

Oh well.

Yeah, fairly average episode for me.

"How many parachutes were there Clark?"
"Jeez Louise, we were so high up, without an oxygen mask I was getting woozy. The plane was on fucking fire and breaking apart. We had seconds to live. I managed to grab a parachute and you want me to count them?"

I gave the episode above average. I actually really liked the Jimmy/Davis plot line, and it was kind of bold to get Jimmy hooked on meds. There was a lot of legitimate tension, and while we knew Jimmy would get out of it all somehow, it wasn't predictable what would happen next.

Contrast this to a storyline where Clark gets on a plane with Tess and it plays out exactly how the TV Guide synopsis said it would, without a single twist or interesting revelation. Oh, Tess's daddykins used to hit her, so now we know why she grew up into someone who can smile while she kicks an unconcious man to death. Other than that, did we end with anything that wasn't there before? Is Tess anything but a bad photocopy of Lex, only with hair and a vagina?

So, good plot/bad plot, I give it above average because Jimmy had such a wonderfully crazy day.

Wow worst episode of the year. Time for Chloe to die and Jimmy to develop stretching powers from the meds hes taking or better yet turn into turtle boy.
Clark and Tess have no chemistry. Such a waste of an hour.

I have always thought Tess was smoking hot. I guess I am the only one who is getting bored with Davis's storyline, and all that late night, nobody in the hospital, did I dream it or did it happen stuff put me to sleep.

Chloe better not die - I couldn't care less if Olsen goes.

im getting this whole Dexter vibe from DoomsDavis, was he hunting down criminals and justifying killing them so that he wouldn't change? I think the actor was one of Dexter's victims too if I remember correctly.

Honestly this whole Davis/Doomsday thing irks me a lot, Doomsday should have been a force of nature, not a CRAPPY Incredible Hulk knockoff. And c'mon Clark NOT flying, when even the frickin LEGION thought "he doesn't fly yet? What a tool, you're like getting close to your 30s now and you STILL haven't learned to fly? Did you guys set the cosmic wayback machine for the right Earth? I mean, the Superman we knew, could fly when he was 18 and in high school... this DORK is afraid of heights?"

I so wanted one of them to push him off a building "FUCKIN FLY SUPERMAN!" I wanted KARA to do that to him a season back, she was new in town and figured out how to fly. I mean c'mon dude, grow a pair, and fly! You're being whupped by a girl who's only lived on Earth for a short time and you've been here for like 20 years and STILL haven't figured out your powers?

And really what is it with Smallville writers and plane crashes? They did it with Lex, now they do it with Tess. What Tess=Lex thing are they going to do next? Tess to have a lesbian affair with Lana? Tess to create her own supermen? Tess to run for Senate against Ma Kent?

Y'know what would be REALLY sad, if JIMMY flies before Clark.

Whatcha talking about? Jimmy's already flying high! :)

Also, if you were to take a character on this show and say he or she is the embodiment of everything that's godawful about Smallville, it used to be Lana. But now I'd have to say it's Jimmy.

I think I agree with everything you said.

With the flying bit, a couple years ago I thought of a cute scene would be to have Clark and Chloe standing on the edge of some precipice with Clark being apprehensive about jumping. Chloe give a sadistic little smile, leans back, and gives him a little shove. Then I realized those type of character moments are pretty much what Smallville is worst at.

Why was Tess using Ollies plane? Surely Tess has access to Lex's planes now?

LuthorCorp and Queen Industries merged. It was during the Lana arc (the same episode where Ollie put on Lex's Kryptonite Ring in the final scene and started the rumor that Lex and Ollie were the same person).

Plus they were too cheap to redress the plane set.

;)
