Romulans Or Remans? (May Be Spoilers?)

    FWIW, the Vulcan's Soul trilogy suggests this:
    Remans are an offshoot of Romulans. Specifically, they were deliberately engineered by Vulcan - oops, sorry, Romulan - geneticists to live in the harsh climate of Remus.

    My Tivo happened to record Nemesis yesterday... So I watched th first couple of minutes. A graphic display makes it clear that Remus is *NOT* a moon of Romulus - it is a separate planet in the same system.

    Exactly. But then, that was established in 1966 in "Balance of Terror" when Spock's viewscreen display map shows Romulus and Remus as separate homeworlds of the Empire. No mention of the latter being a moon.
