The interview was with a very prominent doctor of a major political family in Sudan. Her family is very successful and relatively wealthy- I don't remember the name exactly but it started with an S(and is probably the same as Siddig's longer arab name?) and has had a very important place in the politics of the country.
She was discussing the situation in Sudan, how she fought in a war back in the 90s...
and then she mentioned that Siddig is her cousin and that everyone is very proud of him!!
that was very cool to hear, I had no idea that he had such a background. I always find it interesting when relatively prominent actors have ties to places & cultures other than, like, California. But apparently he has family ties to Sudan, and to people who are intimately involved with the situation of the country and its government.

) in Business as Usual, which Sid did indeed direct. I didn't even know Sid directed it or was related to Uncle Malcolm for many years while I was thinking this. It's uncanny how similar that guy was to Malcolm in that role. Malcolm would have been a perfect fit in that role as well. The actor they did choose nailed it in his own right, though.
