James Woods played Cohn in the movie Citizen Cohn.

I wonder if Sylar wants to form an alliance with Danko. Sylar is left alone in exchange for helping them nab every superpowered person out there.

Danko's safe for now. Sylar wouldn't have tracked him down to kill him - having no powers, Danko is far from being worthy prey.

That's my assumption. But Sylar must be smart enough to know that Danko will renege on that deal. He'll be too hungry to care and will figure that he can get Danko before Danko gets him, when it all goes to hell in the final episode of the season. And of course Danko will figure the same. This should be interesting even tho it's a foregone conclusion who will win - the guy starring in the big hit movie being highly promoted now. ;)

Of course, after Danko sees Sylar running around slicing and dicing, maybe he won't think a guy who can breathe underwater and can't do anything else, or a girl who can heal but can't do anything else, or a guy who can fly but can't do anything else (two of the three would be dead from a single bullet), are much of a threat to national security.

His dad just spent half an hour telling him to find a challenging prey worth his time.

Dankois not a challenge or worth his time.

But cutting off a finger and forcing Danko to fixate his entire paramilitary force against him might be.

Tony Todd has a knife tot he daughter of the President;s eyes, nose and throat last week shortly before he bitch slapped the POTUS across the room because she was merely a woman who though she had an ounce of control.

America is out to get them.

    America is the enemy.

There's man in a house that is white who is the head and heart of this America place who is telling people to chase and hunt and bind these mutant paranormals...

I liked it when Charles Xavier gave the Prez a stern word at the end of X-Men II.

Hells, 2 years ago Sylar WAS the President.

He fucked back harder when they tried to fuck him and he took over the entire popsical stand effortlessly... Shades of Doctor manhatten a little,, but early days before he realizes how infinitely everyone and everything is beneath him.

bring on the worlds smartest termite already!

Or he'll decide that Sylar's real problem is that his powers are making him in-SAAANE (which is actually true) so why wouldn't powers drive everyone else insane, too? Breathing underwater/healing/flying can be used in dangerous ways by a psychopath. It's not like Danko has gotten to know the rest of the metahumans well enough to tell if they are sane or just faking sanity for now, biding their time...

In fact that's a good question. If Sylar's powers made him insane, why is everyone else sorta sane?

They may have guns, but they don't have abilities. It would be a big change for Sylar to be interested in fighting mundanes. He's kinda egotistical that way. ;)

I believe in all the classic Fairy stories that after the brave knight slays the dragon he's allowed to wade back into the village and rape as many peasant girls as he wont to... It's about keeping the fulcrum level, balancing the good against the bad so that by the end of the day that knight can do more horrible things as a reward for doing generous and nobel stuff, at least as far as his internal moral compass is ticking.

Besides it's not the guns that make these people dangerous it's their resources and man power to back up the most imaginative plans... Did you ever read Dark Knight Returns? Batman totally owned Superman because he spent some time laying a trap that took into account the aliens strengths and weaknesses, hells even "the mask killer"(how insane that that's a spoiler again 20 years later.) vs Doctor Manhattan, the correct tools for the job applied in the correct manner.

Although Danko comes off more as Sledgehammer than Batman.

However? Add the baldness to the fact that his major opponent is some guy that flies with a chin that looks like a phone book, and he might just be the worst Lex Luthor since that Preppie from the New Adventures of Superboy.

Never saw "The New Adventures of Superboy" (though I have one episode on tape which I've never gotten around to watching). How bad/good was it? Worth getting on Netflix for some chuckles? I still have the comic series that was based on it (woo-hoo...photo cover on #1...big uptick in value!).

I only saw he first three episodes recently, which were horrid, but I understand that they recast Superboy after Season one and the show continued for another 3 years, so they must have been doing something right eventually since it lasted a year longer than the Dean Cain/Terri Hatcher rendition.

It's been pretty well established that having powers will either make you insane or retarded.

I think that the real question everyone has been avoiding is that the worst ever episode of Star Trek the Next Generation was also called Shades of Gray, and really, is this Clusterfuck better or worse than the worst showing of TNG ever made?

Have you ever wondered how many shows have an episode called shades of gray?

    http://www.imdb.com/find?q=shades%20of%20Gray;s=tt;ttype=ep

Hells, the episode of Wolvering and the X-men mentioned there isn't airing fro another couple weeks. And before i got to this IMDB page I had to navigate past 7 movies called "Shades of Gray".

This episode should have been called "Shades of Beige".

So are we all agreed that 'Shades of Grey' should never be used as an episode title for any show again?

Well, to be fair, Gray's Anatomy hasn't done it yet, and they should have dibs, so either they're saving "Shades of Gray" for something special or they are utilizing the utmost restraint and class by not touching such a horrid Knight Rider level pun for the good of all of us.

Noah is just as retarded as the rest of them, he's just retarded in a different way. He constantly defaults into Protect Claire Mode without even considering the simple fact that an intense three month combat training course, some weapons, and accurate information, might be better protection for her than being constantly left in the dark to grope her way through without any sort of useful guidance.

What I'd like to see is Claire start reading some Wolverine comics, figure out that her healing factor would be extremely useful in combat, pick up a pair of knives, and develop an extremely bloody close combat style that relies on allowing her opponents to injure her in order to produce openings in their defenses. That would, at least, be a practical and realistic use of her power.

I don't know about that. If Claire's so stupid that she couldn't even finish high school then how can she even learn to become a decent fighter? Claire has shown zero interest in learning martial arts and I don't think that will be changing any time soon since she is so good at being a bullet spunge.

Noah uses baseball to beat people up.

Cheerleadering is basically intense acrobatics with music. She should already be able to be daredevil or Robin from spending years(? Did Bring it On and a day once watching Cheerleading on ESPN paint me a spurious idea of the drive and power it takes to lead cheers? Then of course according the Porkies movies it's more about ebing human mattresses per touchdown scored which is the incentive to... The 50s were so innocent, yes?) on the squad flipping and jumping and running...

I'm waiting for her to get into some sort of accident that her powers start acting like the Morlock Marrows, that her bones keep growing and she pulls them out and the throws them at people or stabs them at close quarters... However you have to wonder if her blood could seal up all or any of the usual human orrifices like what happeened to those guys on The Fringe a couple months back with their noses and mouthes healing up and with the dying fromt he lack of a place to breath out of.

    She is useless.

Claire is good eye candy, but that's pretty much it. Claire hasn't really had anything interesting to do since season one. Also her power is boring.

Claire wanted to learn how to learn how to fight other superpowered individuals in Volume 3. Everyone just shoots her down.

This is, in fact, one one the reasons I think that they need a bigger action scene budget. There are many characters who would be very good if they actually learned how to fight worth a darn, but who are essentially useless without that capability. They can either transform her into a driven heroic character, or they can cut her out of the show. But keeping her stuck in the middle like she is just isn't working.

Regeneration doesn't have to be boring, it just has to be used right, and that means a great many hardcore life-threatening stunts. A regenerating character really best fills two roles, fearless extreme athlete/soldier and gorn model. At the very least, she could be the Mai Chan of non-pornographic American broadcast television, but if they really used her to her fullest they'd have her strangle someone to death with her own intestines at some point.
