Knight Rider Is Out of Gas

And since I'm asking... whatever did happen to Bonnie anyway? Her actress I mean, I don't think I've ever seen her in anything after Knight Rider.
She didn't do much, unfortunately.
Now she's an environmental activist. I remember a video of her being posted to a Knight Rider forum, where she was interviewed about the effort to preserve the Ballona Wetlands in southern California.

Just read this on Hulu's Knight Rider section

i just was reading TV guild weekly and read something very interesting.
they will not be back next season but they are retooling the show seems alot of peaple feel the ford( found on the road dead) is not the right car for the series.the shows prouducers are in talks with gm yes i said gm,for kitt to be retooled in to his former glory a gm.ladies and gentlemen the new camaro.
it about time to get rid of that crap ford and use what he was originally a gm
thx god and the lead man is also being replaced to.

This is...how many reboots now? The series was retooled from the pilot, the second portion on the season was retooled from the first, now a potential new pilot will be rebooting the whole thing with the same producers? Why not just blow K.I.T.T up and rebuild him from the ground up in a new body? This is what the two-hour premieres always did

And to follow in the footsteps of the original series' pilot, Mike Traceur / Mike Knight could undergo facial reconstructive surgery in order to explain a change of actors.

I would take that with a grain of salt. A lot of people like the Mustang and GM doesn't have a strong balance sheet as a company. Sounds like fanwanky wishing to me.

I actually sorta like the double tracer light honestly, kinda cool really, less Cylon-y. And I doubt that comment above really, GM is pulling OUT of a lot of promotional deals, so unless either a) whoever's running the show is PAYING GM boatloads b) someone's using stimulus money.... GM isn't gonna do anything with KR. Heck, they're not even really cashing in on Transformers again like they did with the first movie. So I do kind of doubt it. Even though I agree, I think the Camaro would have been a better choice, but the 'Stang is sort of growing on me. Especially with Val Kilmer's voice and I'm even kind of starting to like the new Mike Knight Jr.

As long as they keep Zoe and Billy... I'll be happy :) But especially Zoe.

Double or single tracer light, don't care. Just make the damn "woosh woosh" sound effect match the light's movement!

Yes, because the car was the problem, not that the show was crap.

The show really came around after the "retool" but it may have been too little too late. It should've been that from the begining.

Yeah, I call shenanigans on that Hulu report. Part of the reason they were able to make Knight Rider in the first place was the huge blocks of commercials Ford bought. GM just recently dropped Tiger Woods from their Buick commercials, and yesterday announced they wouldn't fund Ken Burns' PBS documentaries anymore, so I find it highly unlikely that they'd turn around and start supporting a second season of Knight Rider.

GM is in far worse shape financially than Ford, who only asked for federal bailout money "just in case" they need it. If the show comes back, which I highly doubt, the Kittstang is coming back with it.

Why is that? They just joined the promotional team of Terminator: TSCC and Terminator: Salvation.

On Terminator Sarah is now assigned to drive a Chevy Suburban (no longer using Jeep Products), but Derek still drives an 09 Dodge Ram.

I can see a GM retooled Knight Rider on USA or a lower budget cable channel. Maybe Spike would be right place for the show. Thern we would be guaranteed that Zoe will always be there. By the pool.

While, personally, I believe it to be a hoax the appearance of the Camaro looks to me like what KITT should be.

I don't mind the car. But they really need to tone down the woosh woosh. Especially when it's not even played at the right volume, nor it is synchronized with the actual movement. So far, that's my only complaint about the retool.

I actually call it the 'Woo-er-Thing'... yeah that term came up when I was watching in the 80s. Hey it goes Woo Woo...Woo Woo... hence -Woo-er-Thing.

If the producers were to decide to change neo-KITT into a GM car, they could just have it shape-shift into one... and then have the car's morphotronic transmogrifier die, similar to how the Tardis' chameleon circuit failed.

yes! i've been commenting on it since the beginning

I didn't like that they whore'd out the scanner every two seconds.

The original series didn't even do it that much. We get, its an iconic thing now but they should have toned it down
