Yeah, I saw the movie yesterday, and just finished making my own screencaps when this came up.

I like the ship alot, I think it looks great - but regarding the pylons, I am not crazy about them being curved. I'm not upset or anything like that, I just think the straight pylons on the TOS and (albeit slanted ones in )TMP ships look superior. No biggie really, but there it is.

!!!! Does anyone here know how we might be able contact the FX company that made these and see if they intend to release this as a model kit? I think they would be foolish not to! This is a GOLD mine in the making!
And how come they didn't make a Kelvin to go alone side the ENTERPRISE for comparison? That would have been cool seeing them SIDE by SIDE!

Every image since has really shown how beautiful the ship is. Fitting of the name Enterprise.

Now that we have some Official Views of the NuEnterprise that include side profiles, can we figure out approximately how big She is by the size of the Docking Ports on the Neck and Secondary Hull?

I expect that this will be this year's Star Trek Christmas ornament by Hallmark.
That assumes that we know how big the docking ports are.
Simply because they're round doesn't mean that they're no larger than the TMP ship's, any more than this ship being shaped like the old Enterprise means it's the same size. There was no external logic to the size of the airlocks, so they could now be twelve feet in diameter...or fifteen, or twenty.
thSome beautiful images of this design. As much as I 'meh'd it at first, it's grown on me.
I basically have 3 remaining quibbles:
1) The way the deflector seems to stick out
2) The way the nacelle pylons meet the rear of the secondary hull
3) The TMP style lines around the saucer (but I suspect there's in-universe reasoning for that and other TMP style elements)
Why didn't they release a better first image? Seriously.

Thanks, I'll try that. And from the ''looks'' of it I would say this ship is going to be in the range between/ 900 ''to'' 1'000 feet long
( TOS ENT was:845 feet/ Refit ENT was:945 feet)Which is disapointing to me, because I was hopeing this version of the ENTERPRISE would be BIGGER!
At least 1'500 feet long! OR close in size to the EXCELSIOR!
