Lane is a pretentious tool who said little that was observant, less that was smart, and nothing original about this movie or about comics in general.
Well, both Lane and you have missed the point of Watchmen completely (and the broader implication, that comics can't be a vehicle for dealing with complex and series stories, is nonsense).
Also, a big roll of the eyes to Lane for gratuitous condescension and stereotyping of the audience.
Same here. Laurie naked plus the big boots on....The shag scenes were damn near pornographic.
That's not a complaint.
So you've seen Watchmen...D.
Pretty bad.
... or maybe you really haven't seen Watchmen? Are the slow-mo fighting scenes as lame as I suspect they are?![]()
Why should the other countries care about trying to "make America a better place" when it was their "imperialist weapon" that did all the damage?
also: Laurie seemed like an actual person instead of just a prop. The Rorschach flashback was better. The movie had more style.

Yeah I thought the actress and character came across pretty well too. I don't really get what all the complaining was about.
It's not like it was Jessica Simpson up there. lol

They don't.
They care about cooperating in an attempt to find some protection against Dr. Manhattan - who destroyed cities in many nations, not just New York.
Osterman is the only character in the movie who really believes that he's not God, you see. Even the others who claim otherwise treat him as if he is. And each of the Watchmen has his/her own distinct concept of what "God" is or ought to be, just as they each have starkly different concepts of what matters in the name of justice.
I think that Adrian was once a skilled crimefighter much like Batman. In other words, part thinking detective and part fighter, skilled in the martial arts. We just didn't see a lot of that aspect of the character in the movie or the book.btw, this is just a much a question of the comic as the film, but what did Ozzy actually do in the Watchmen? Unlike the others he doesn't really seem like a crimefighter
