Things you just noticed when re-watching Enterprise.

Velton Ray Bunch won the Emmy for his "Similitude" score. :) I liked his score for "Home" as well.

I enjoyed the music for the show very much. Emotional and evocative.
He did great work on Quantum Leap, also. That's probably one of my favorite soundtracks of all time. Scott singing is a gem, too. His Man of La Mancha medly is oustanding.

I recently got a Sony Bravia LCD and decided to break it in with S4 of Enterprise. This series looks absolutely gorgeous, even with standard DVD at 576p/50. They slashed the show's budget for these last 22 episodes? You sure could've fooled me! Such an amazing variety of epic settings too - 1944 Nazi America, 22nd century Earth, stunning Vulcan, Andoria and a far more colourful NX set than I recall first time around. For my money only TOS S2 can match this level of quality. The production team worked miracles keeping this show on the air, on less money than ever. God, I miss this show...

It just adds to my T'Pol is a very messed up Vulcan theory (don't get me wrong, T'Pol is one of my favorite characters).

This is a very promising theory. I think many viewers were a bit distracted by the va-va-voom factor and missed some of the weird nuances in the performance; the more attention I pay to them, the more I think that T'Pol is just sort of odd, even or especially for a Vulcan. Sometimes I watch her when she isn't front and center and someone else is delivering dialogue and there's a lot of stuff going on. There was a near-eyeroll at Hoshi once from the background that I only noticed in HD. The eyes went up about 2/3 of the way. I've forgotten the episode :(

Interesting. Something to keep in mind when I do re-runs. I'm currently doing another round because I skipped a few eps. Sorta like, I watched the few minutes of the begiining, figured it seems to be a rehash of some other storyline from other spinoffs and I'll skip.

Heh, everytime I watched Deset Crossing, I keep thinking of Highlander (there can be only ONE!) and Starship Troopers (The first thing and last thing outta your mouths is Sir! Do you get me??!!!) whenever I see Zobral.

Reflecting back to my original post for this thread, I'm watching The Expanse off of DVR and could swear that Archer just called Travis "Mr. Meriwether". My hearing could be going bad. Actually it is. But, I replayed it a few times and in the scene where Archer decides to bypass Vulcan and T'Pol is staying on board, it sounds like he says Meriwether when telling Travis to change course.

Looks even better on a Sharp Aquos!
;)

Middleman, if you see something that you think is improper, it's best to hit the NM button and let the moderators take care of it.

I watched a bunch of S4 episodes this weekend, and I always put the subtitles on. I noticed for the first time that in Affliction (when they're trying to figure out where Phlox was taken to), T'Pol calls Travis by his first name. As in, "Travis figured out the trajectory of the Rigellian vessel." Now I'll have to go back and see whether she calls anyone else by his or her first name (besides Trip - which, obvious reasons).

I like the show, but damn the music sometimes just screams 'Voyager' in the first two seasons at least. It's good music, but a bit too much of the same...

I recently bought Season 4 on DVD and its the first time I've actually watched Enterprise since it was cancelled four years ago.

Apart from just getting used to the show again, one thing that stuck out while watching In a Mirror Darkly Part 1 last night was Phlox mentioning the Tholian race was hermaphrodite.

I thought Loskene in The Tholian Web (the episode that spawned this two parter) was male. And in Destiny Tezerene is female, described as having a scorpion like tail unique to females.

I completely missed that line the first time around.
