Your best "in costume" shot...

I have to admit that I have dressed up in a Star Fleet uniform a few times for Halloween over the years. Once in TOS gear, the next few times in TNG. But, it's been a while and I don't have any photos (honest!).

However, if you have a Star Trek costume photo you're proud of, post it! :)

Btw, in another forum where I participate, someone posted a photo of a very talented Japanese artist and his family. I couldn't get over how close his shirt looked to a TOS uniform. So, I couldn't resist and gave him the appropriate upgrade (ah, yes--it's not quite the right insignia for the color, but...).

I hope this doesn't sound too off-topic, but this thread does bring up something I've been wondering. Just where in the world do people get Star Trek uniforms? When I was in junior high school some kids came up to me on Halloween (I was dressed as "The Mask" from the 1994 movie) in full TNG garb with tricorders and said "it's human" to each other (how adorably dorky they were :p). That was the only time I've actually known anyone who had a Star Trek uniform and I didn't ask them where they bought the outfits. I'd just like to know where to get a nice Kirk or Spock/McCoy starfleet shirt. I imagine they'd be on sale at the Star Trek: The Experience, but it's closed now, and I don't see much on E-bay.

There are a few good suppliers...
...though to answer the question, I had one for a costume party. Bloody expensive for one night and ended up selling it on.

Well I had a shirt as a kid...I guess they were all over the place in the 70's...it's too bad I can't find the pic of me in it!! I've never done Trek at Halloween...we used to go to a yearly halloween party years ago and I brought it up to my friends, my great idea of going as the crew..you can imagine how that idea went over LOL.

Forbin, you posted this image a few times in the past and whenever I see it, I think it totally kicks ass. I guess the 70s camera aesthetic add some authenticity to it. (Plus the perfect brigde set and uniform replicas*. :techman:) That was from a fan film, wasn't it?

* BTW, what's the plural of replica? Is it replicas or replica?

Problem is, most Trek uniforms aren't very flattering to me.

Closest you get is seeing me in my Romulan shirt. I had to crop out the other two guys in the picture. This is the actual material used in the "squares" Romulan uniform seen on TV.

I was thinking of putting this up for a caption contest. Have at it.

That was my pal Frank's 1982 college film class project. His "uninhabited planet" set was Kingland Park in Clifton, NJ - every single shot had a house in the background.

NBC Announcer: "Tonight, Star Trek's crew is joined by Three Dog Night."

If this were the real crew, the big reveal about the Romulans in Balance of Terror would be that they wear muttonchops.
