This is why I like Mary Poppins. That, and the cheeky little looks she gives me when she thinks I'm not watching.
My shirt tailor visited me with my second bespoke shirt. MUCH better than the first one; I think we've got my pattern almost completely dialled in now. So I ordered another 5.
5 Means they must have really wowed you! I've always thought my buying 3 identical designs when I love something was going too far - 5 really takes the cake!
The first two items were for my brother, and the second two for my sister - keeps her occupied for hours!

My aim is to replace all my existing shirts with the better fitting bespoke ones, now I they've got my pattern right. Obviously I can't replace them ALL in one go (and besides, some have lots of useful wear left in them). But now the fit and design are how I want it, I can make a start on the process.
Initially I've ordered a handful of solid business shirts. The one I got today was pale blue, and I've now ordered white, pale pink, sage green (surprisingly versatile colour) and a pale blue/white stripe. I also ordered a white oxford cloth button-down because I really need some of these more casual shirts that don't fit like tents!
Next stage will be some checks/ginghams, another solid white, and a few bolder blue stripes and lavendar. Also a few more OCBDs. Ah who am I kidding. The list is long....

Thank goodness you use ebay, or you could be seriously out of pocket changing all of them... I myself am not an ebay aficionado yet, so when I want to turn things over, I take them to charity shops. Sometimes, when things are tight, I do wish I could get some pocket money back!

eBay's pretty useful for this sort of "upgrading", it's true.
However, sadly I won't be able to flip many of my old shirts on there (some are just too worn to sell as lightly used, and below that level you don't get enough money back to make it worthwhile). Some I will flip yes, but probably only about 50% of them and they'll only each make 10% of the value of a new shirt, I'd hazard. Maybe 20% if I'm lucky.
But I've been planning on this renovation of my shirts for some time, so I've been cutting back a little on other purchases over the past 6 months so as to build up a little extra to fund these.
It's worth getting familiar with eBay though; every little bit more income always helps, and actually it's quite fun once you start selling.
^ The sensation of feeling good in your clothes is priceless, so I can see how you wouldn't mind replacing all your shirts. I say go for it! I wish I could go super high end myself. As to ebay, since I have an addictive personality, it's probably unwise for me to get into something as massively cool as that, I do not have the necessary control...

I ordered my digital camera yesterday and Amazon sent me a shipping notice last night.
Tonight I gave up on the weekend long- nine store denim pencil skirt and just ordered a dark wash one like the one I tried on at the Old Navy stores. At least I could get them in the right wash and in the right size (Petite) by going online.

One of the clothes boards I read is doing a sign-up thread for those deciding to spend money on clothes in March, and a naming & shaming if (when!) we break our pledge. Given there's also a Latest Purchases type thread there, it's easy to check.
I signed up. Buying to sell is still allowed, as is having outstanding orders (phew!). Just no new items/orders for yourself during March. I'm going for it!
