What do you think is the most consistantly worse season out of the Star Trek franchise ever?! Season Seven of Voyager and Enterprise's S2 would be towards the top spot, with perhaps the first season of TNG or the third season of TOS winning the crown due to the greater popularity of those latter two shows in popular consciousness. But I concede that even the worst seasons we could remember had their moments and classic episodes looking back.

Enterprise, Season Two, aka the season that drove me away. It almost wasn't even bad as much as boring, and in its own way that was even worse. Season One tried harder, IMHO. My second choice would have probably been TNG Season One.

^ I'm right with you there Praetor! ENT season one & two were pretty AWFUL! I voted ENT s2, but in my book DS9 season's 1&2 are just as bad as ENT first two season's, as they are BOTH guilty of one of the most greivus of crimes! Putting me to sleep LITERALLY!!

Enterprise, Season FOUR.

Y'know, I constantly hear about how sucky ENT's early seasons were, and I still don't buy it. Season one displayed some of the most original thinking I've seen on the part of TPTB since "The Cage" and it helped me fall in love with the whole concept again. I don't even think of S1 as bad, much less, "The worst season ever".

S4, on the other hand, was TPTB bowing and scraping and sayin' "'Scuse me, Massah! I's so sorry that I wuzn't makin' exactly the same Trek you got forty years ago! Lemme make it up by throwing everything but the old miniskirts from the original TOS atcha! Not enough! I's sorry! I'll even do the Mirror universe so's you can have the miniskirts too!"

So my vote is ENT, Season 4, the shameless wannabe season.

TNG's season one. UGH! So terrible, it's torture to sit through.

ENT's much-maligned season 2 however, with Minefield, Dead Stop, Cease Fire, Future Tense, The Catwalk, Judgment, Cogenitor, Regeneration, First Fligh and The Expanse is much better than TOS season 3, TNG's season 1 and VOY season 7.

I have only watch entire DS9 and Voyager season and first 2 season of TNG and first 3 season of Enterprise. I have seen perhaps 15% of TOS.

I felt the first & 7 season of Voyager wasn't great. I didn't like season 1, 2, and 7 of DS9. I actually liked first 2 season of Enterprise. I cant understand why people have issue with them. However i felt the xindi arch to long in season 3.
I voted for season 7 DS9

Really hard to say, hate to just pick on ENT, but it's got to be ENT season 2, though TNG season one and there's a lot of weak throughout VOY as well. But, ENT season 2 probably was what really 'killed' Trek, since it had all the bad of all the previous shows all wrapped up in 26 episodes, while carrying none of the good.

I agree that some episodes in season one WERE original and very enjoyable, but that was only 10 episodes out of 16 very AWFUL episodes! And in regards to your comment on season 4 all I have to say to that is this. Woman/Man! you MUST be crazy!:wtf:year 4 was the BEST TREK since DS9!

^ Unfortunetly that's very true!:( But there were a cupple of good eps! just not GREAT.

Hands down...

Enterprise, Season One!

Bleech!!!!
I loved Enterprises first season. It's one of the most consistently good first seasons of the whole franchise, if you ask me. There's only TOS' first season that is better.

TNG Season One -- absolutely deadly!
Yup, never was there a season so dreadful. Just for Code of Honor alone this season should rank highest in this poll. This 'episode' was just insulting to common sense.

The Naked Now, Code of Honor, The Last Outpost, Lonely Among Us, Justice, Angel One, When the Bough Breaks, Symbiosis

Uggh.

Season 2 of Enterprise is hands down the worst season of all Star Trek. Don't get me wrong, there have been plenty of times previous that I've been disappointed by Trek, but this was the first time I actually asked myself "why am I bothering?"

I still think, viewing Enterprise in HD, really adds to the show, and helped me overlook some of the bad writing or inconsequential stories. Still Season 2, easily was the worst of the Enterprise seasons to me.

Didn't like any of Voyager, but definately the latter seasons less.

TNG seasons 1-2 had some very not good episodes.

ToS season 3 is also likely my least favorite of those....

Still I'm voting for Voyager season 7 for my disdain of the series and the finale.

You know, I hope I'm not derailing the thread, but I never did get the love affair everyone had with Dead Stop. Back when it first aired I found it really boring and not in any way interesting. Then I check out the internet and everyone loves it, even people who regularly bashed Enterprise found it enjoyable. I then re-watched it when a re-run aired, to see if maybe I missed something the first time around. I ended up hating it moreso then before. So what gives? What's so great about it?

First, it's "Man".

Second, Season four was creatively bankrupt. There is nothing imaginative or even entertaining about the technique of dumping a whole bunch of TOS references into the idea pool and writing ENT stories around them. Seasons one and two were about Enterprise being Enterprise, which is the main thing I like about hem. Season three was about Enterprise being DS9: the Dominion war years.

Season four was about enterprise being derivative and unpalatable. It's boosters, IMHO, are the crazy ones.

I liked the beginning of the episode, how the Enterprise was in a tough spot, it would take them decades to make it back to earth, and it was time they found help from someone. It made for good atmosphere of what Enterprise was supposed to be.

The idea of an automated space station, that trades you for supplies and repairs your ship... I really liked that as a concept.

Also, it introduced Enterprise to... (sorry I'm not sure what to call or explain this)... however they turn "matter" into food. With Trip getting a pan-fried catfish. Which also led to the question of the Station downloading Enterprise data, without the Enterprise's consent...

Then the fact the station "abducts" humanoids as the power supply for the station... that was fairly creepy to me.

Good effects with the spacestation and the torpedo launch by the Enterprise (again, this show is SOOOOOO much better in HD... and I say that as someone whom really only see's the amazing difference in HD for sporting events)

Add the "twilight zone" spin at the end.. where the station is able to start repairing itself...

My kind of episode. Interesting concept. Correct atmosphere and characterization. Little creepiness thrown in.
