The cast of TNG reunites for the Family Guy

The cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation is reuniting on Fox's animated Family Guy series in an episode in which the Griffin family heads to the annual Quahog Trek convention, The Hollywood Reporter's Live Feed column reported.

The episode titled "Not All Dogs Go to Heaven" will feature the guest voices of Patrick Stewart, Levar Burton, Gates McFadden, Michael Dorn, Wil Wheaton, Denise Crosby, Marina Sirtis, Brent Spiner and Jonathan Frakes.

Here's how Fox describes the episode: "Stewie blows a fuse when he doesn't get a chance to ask his favorite Star Trek: The Next Generation cast members any questions. He devises a plan, builds a transporter and beams the entire cast to his bedroom so they can spend a fun-filled day together in Quahog."

The episode will air March 29.
 
I've lost interest in Family Guy lately, but a Star Trek episode will definitely pull me right back in.
 
Oh man, this is going to be awesome!

I loved the episode a year or two ago when they had a TNG segment where everyone was laughing at Worf (I forget why, something to do with a joke Picard made).

Riker: "Yeah, I could get in on that."

Worf: "You can both suck my ridges!"
Picard: "Oh, get a sense of humor, Rocky Dennis!"
 
I guess I'll watch it just because of all the TNG actors being in it, but really the new episodes of Family Guy are just awful, I occasionally watch it and it's rare if I laugh once an episode. Hopefully this episode will be better, but I'm not going to get my hopes up.

There's also a deleted scene from the same episode on the series 4 DVD which has Troi emphatically picking up on Picard thinking sexy thoughts about her.
 
I haven't been too keen on some of the eps they've done this year, but I've been won over by some of the recent eps, so lets hope this one rocks!

Actually Peter and Stewie have long been said to be big Star Trek fans (though Peter never realized Uhura was black).
