Smallville and Supernatural RENEWED for Next Season

I'm afraid that CCH Pounder is so far above Smallville's league that she'd simply annihilate Tom Welling with her superior acting ability and they'd be forced to call in Michael Chiklis to be the replacement Superboy.

What is the deal with Welling's age? Actors almost NEVER play their own age. It's called acting. And Welling still looks twentysomething anyway.

And he better fly.

I would settle for this. I don't really care if we see him put the suit on, although it would be kinda cool to see in the very final episode of the series, whenever that'll be.

If Kripke goes for what I think he's going to go for next season ...
Tell me, what do you think? You seem to be a big Supernatural fan, so even if you're wrong, it's probably a good and interesting theory.

But if The CW really want's a sixth season, I doubt Kripke will refuse to do it, if only to secure the jobs of the crew for another year. In this economy I really can't see him saying "screw them, I'm done", if he has the chance to save their jobs.

What I think....a further exploration and continuation of what's happened to Sam this season. Further alienation from Dean and Bobby. Maybe people dying because of his new addiction, and I don't mean the demon he's having sex with.

I imagine they will put a damper (even though the Lana arc pretty much already did) into the budding Clark/Lois romance for the rest of this season. Why give even a semi-resolution now when you can milk it for all of next season?
I don't know. Welling and Durance have such good chemistry, I think if the show is getting yet another chance, it'd be a real shame to waste it. It's really one of the show's true positive bits. And at this point, I don't really care if Clark and Lois hook-up pre-Supes. The show has taken so many liberties everywhere else, what's one more?

CCH Pounder is Amanda Waller and that would be terrific casting!!
Yeah. It would be nice. One twist that could work for Waller is make her one of Martha's aides.

And on that note, they really, really have to try and get O'toole back for a few episodes. Her absence is greatly missed and, quite frankly, is getting a bit ridiculous.

Smallville. The show that never ends.

I predict the people that are still watching next year are going to be posting how they hope to see Welling put on the suit.

I just hope they treat season 9 as the last season of Smallville. The producers, whomever they are at the moment, always act like the show will go on forever. THey should use this whole season to resolve things. It be nice to see Clark's mom again.

It ever occur to anyone that maybe the CW knows what it's doing? At this point, SMALLVILLE has already lasted longer than the old George Reeves show, LOIS & CLARK, BATMAN, BIRDS OF PREY, THE FLASH, and pretty much every other superhero show in tv history.

Maybe "no tights, no flights" was a good idea? It sure seems to have worked.

I highly doubt the lowest rated network on the dial knows what it is doing.

The started off with "no tights, no flights" in an interest to appeal to as many people as possible -in a time when super heroes were not "cool." And Smallville back then was little more than a angsty teeny-boper X-Files.

Eight years later a lot of that is gone, the show is much more imbeded in the mythos and constantly refers to DCU not to mention "super heroes" are much more "main stream" now with the success of countless superhero movies and not the least of which being one of them very recently winning an acting Oscar.
