Smallville and Supernatural RENEWED for Next Season

Kripke shouldn't compromise his vision, and Supernatural should end after season 5. That said, the alleged prequel series focusing on Samuel Colt would be an amazing follow-up.

Skipped all the the thread but I did catch one of the early replies I think it was from Captain Craig that said Tom's contract should have a Superman clause in it for season nine. I'm sort of disapointed. Was hoping that this season was going to be the final season for the show. What the hell else can they do unless next season is actually going to show us Superman? He can't be Clark Kent this long can he?

Apparently he can. I find it hysterical that the two shows the CW puts the least amount of advertising dollars into are doing the best for them....at least in terms of total viewers, anyway. Yeah, Welling's a little long in the tooth to still be just Clark. One of these years he has to embrace his identity.

I dearly hope my beloved Supernatural doesn't go nine seasons. There comes a point in every series in which it reaches a natural, creative end. SPN will reach that point before nine seasons.

I'm the latest fan of Supernatural, great news that I get another season to enjoy.
Same here. I finally gave into the pressure from family and friends to watch the Supernatural DVDs, and I am HOOKED! I watched seasons 1 to what's aired so far in season 4 in a little less than a month. I absolutely LOVE this show.
While this decision was pretty much expected judging by the ratings, it's great to actually have confirmation.

Oh and good news about Smallville too. :techman:

I usually stay out of the Supernatural threads because they're either spoilery for me or pretty much dead by the time I get to them. But I'm dipping my toe into this one to say YAY!! Best news all damn week! :)

I hope Smallville has a good sendoff...if it is season 9 or 10...LOL

I want tights, flights...The Rosenbaum...LOL

I predict S9 will continue with the Daily Planet type stories and continue evolving into "Metropolis"

I'd have to agree with you at this point. Though still titled 'Smallville', this show is definately morphing into a 'Metropolis' show, which it should.

NX is probably right about the costume, so I'll just settle for the Big Blue Dolt to learn how to fly.

And no Lana. Ever.

Please.

Good news for Supernatural !! Smallville needs a serious overhaul if we're to believe this guy really is supposed to become Superman tho. I'm willing to give it a chance but the clock is already ticking.

I think that Smallville exists on Earth-4x in the DC Multiverse, the "Super-heroes who wear primary colored clothing instead of costumes" Earth.

I think a previous poster postulated that Smallville now refers more to Clark's nickname than the town.

Nothing wrong with heroes saving the world dressed in primary colors. One of my favorite eppies is rerunning right now. The 6 foot suicidal bipolar teddy bear. :bolian: Who likes porn.

How true.

I finally saw the first Lois episode a couple days ago, and I might remind y'all that Clark had Amnesia or more precisely his Kryptonian side was dominant, so he wasn't answering to Clark at the time he met Lois and she didn't have a large sack of names to draw from when giving the bugger a moniker other than maybe referring to how she met him completely nude?

"Big boy"?

Clark in Metropolis, if Smallville is 2 thousand miles south west and he's the only Smallvillian she'd met, it kinda makes sense, especially on Lois and Clark, and not just because Teri Hatcher used to be adorable when she was young in her early 40s, but calling L'll Clark "Smallville" while they're all living in Smallville, it's kinda like "supid" because no Klansmen attended the million man march did they?

Calling Tuvok "Mr Vulcan" made sense, since he introduced himself to Neelix by saying "I am Vulcan".

When will this shit die!?
