Another sushi dinner for the lady and myself. Far better than watching out-of-touch people be awarded little golden naked Art Deco men.

I've been very frugal over the past few days and haven't bought anything. Not an itty bitsy teeny weeny thing. Not even a yellow polka dot bikini.

I've been stuck at home sick for the 4th straight day, but I still managed to purchase a Roxy Music song for my MP3 player for a whopping 89 cents.

I've been returning a lot of things today. I got some Clark shoes that were supposed to be comfy, but rubbed blisters on my feet. Back they went to the store.

I also picked up a couple of going out tops for under $20 each.

I got the last three books in the Twilight saga and another fun toy on Amazon today. Since I got birthday money and had been saving up anyway, I could afford it. ^^

Groceries
Innocent pineapple banana and coconut smoothie
Mixed frozen seafood
Fresh spring onions
Red pepper
Fresh lemon

Made a delightful seafood rice out of that (obviously minus the smoothie :p).

^Wow. Redoing the entire room, then? Can we get before and after shots? :D

New collet-chuck for the lathe. Settled on an ER32 chuck with an MT3 shank. It's supposed to be a endmill holder for a milling machine but I adapted it to the lathe as a work-holder. Much better than using that crappy 3-jaw chuck.

Also got a quick-change tool-holder. A much BETTER one than what I had before.

$200 worth of material stock too, mostly aluminum and brass, and over a dozen sizes and types of plastic rod-stock.

On the way is a DRO package, this does the position calculations for me so I don't have to count tickmarks and remember fudge-factors.

I was showing the owner of Job Is Job and he was commenting that my lathe at home is almost better than the one I run at Job Is Job. :D

Well, since we're now "done", the "before" is a bit tricky... Might be able to pull off the "after"... We'll see....

Feel better soon!

I hate treacherous shoes like that!

Damn you for pre-empting my bad joke.

As of tomorrow, new flat!

Wow, someone actually managed to find a mortgage!

Congratulations!

I bought a rather large cream tea. Still feeling full!

Got my new 12-foot TOSLink cable in the post today. A shame it doesn't seem to want to do what I want it to. Perhaps being a bit head-spinny ill isn't the best state of mind to be trouble shooting multi-channel audio issues though.
