GHOSTBUSTERS 3 shooting this fall?!?!?!?

Ghostbusters 3 is for reels this time:confused:

Ghostbusters III's somethin'that's been grapewhine scuttlebut for years & years:rolleyes:

Hard to believe Ghostbusters is a quarter century old:eek:

And Ghostbusters 2'll be a score old this June:wtf:

Wow!

The combined age of the 1st 2 Ghostbusters movies is 45 years young:D

Anyone remember that “Ghostbusters” cartoon from the late 80's that should've been called “The Fake Ghostbusters”?

In fact, when the Ghostbusters cartoon came on actually based on the 1984 film, they made a point of calling the cartoon “The Real Ghostbusters”

It doesn't give an answer to the only important question.

Assuming it actually does get made (big assumption), is Bill Murray in it?

The last time I read or heard any news on GIII was that there were two guys working on a script and that was it. That was from Harold Ramis when he was being interviewed for the Ghostbusters Video Game.

I'm more excited about the game since everyone is back for it, it's set shortly after the second movie and it's written by Ramis and Aykroyd.

While I love the Office and they have great writers, but I have some doubts about them written a new Ghostbusters movie, especially when they have 2 great writers who would almost certainly do a better job.

From what I've read, Bill Murray will be in it. After working on the video game, he got so jazzed/nostalgic that he finally agreed to it. He also said that the 1st Ghostbusters movie is the best thing he's ever been in.

Personally, I'm still very skeptical. A fall production date is still very far away. From what I gather, they haven't even finished the script yet. What if, this summer, they finish the script and it's shite? You see what I mean?

Unfortunately, the cartoon called "The Ghost Busters" (with the ape and whatnot) was based on something that came way before the 1984 Aykroyd/Murray/Ramis Ghostbusters movie. In fact, based on that, the (more popular) "Real Ghostbusters" are actually the "fake" Ghostbusters.

I'm very skeptical. I thought the video game was as close to a third Ghost Busters movie as we were going to get?

Wow!

I read your link & read the link within that about Filmation's Ghost Busters.

Very interesting:vulcan:

Its refreshing to get an ironic kick in the teeth once in a while:D

The joke was on me & others who thought Filmations GBs were fakers:o

The fake Gb's, ironically, are from the Ernie Hudson movie, & called Real, in the cartoon based on the Ernie Hudson flick.

:o:brickwall:

I have a feeling the movie will be like Indy 4 where we lose that "edge" and it will be more family friendly.

Actually Ghostbusters 2 already did that.

Just saw this on aint-it-cool.com. Dan Aykroyd is in on it. Can’t wait to get a few more details, should be out next year, one of the summer blockbusters I hope. All I can say is finally!

That would be awesome if true! I have always loved Ghostbusters. I recently rented some of the "The Real Ghostbusters" anime series and forgot how awesome that cartoon was. Did you know it ran for 7 seasons?

Is Slimer going to be a part of the cast this time, and not as a cameo?

I was just reading up on The Real Ghostbusters on Wiki, a show I loved as a kid BTW, and I noticed Joseph Michael Straczynski was one of the writers, never knew that! Pretty cool, they should get him to help with Pt 3.

Assuming this has a level of credibility and its not Dan Akroyd spouting off his pipe dream(which is mine as well) I'm ready to sacrifice Bill at this point.

Peter Venkman is not the end-all-be-all of Ghostbusters. Lots do with GB outside of Venkman IMO.

Actually, the name of the cartoon was "Ghostbusters". "The Ghost Busters" was only the name of the old live-action show.
