How Would YOU Reuse A Star Trek Prop?

We've all seen the reused props thread -- and it's cool and all -- but, if Star Trek had gone on to more seasons than just three how would YOU have reused existing props from other episodes.

The Nomad unit, already partially reused as a cloaking device in season 3, re-appears in season 4. It serves as Spacedock when the Enterprise visits Earth (an updated version of this scene is done years later in The Search for Spock).

Of course, you realize this means I must now come up with my own photo manip to demonstrate a potential reuse of a Trek prop!

If I had the know how, I'd combine various pieces of Nomad, Sargon's globe, the Valiant's recorder marker and maybe the laser canon from The Cage/Managerie, and come up with some sort of science probe/torpedo thingy? Or, use Lazarus' ship repainted and reworked as some sort of work pod, somethig like Jeffries explored in some of his early sketches? But since I don't have the Know how, the best I can hope for is to table these ideas for others to follow up, that is, if they don't totally suck? (The Ideas. that is ).

BTW, this is an awesome thread idea, QuasarVM - well done! The actual TOS staff made great reuse of props, so it's fun to take that idea to extremes.
