If I had the know how, I'd combine various pieces of Nomad, Sargon's globe, the Valiant's recorder marker and maybe the laser canon from The Cage/Managerie, and come up with some sort of science probe/torpedo thingy? Or, use Lazarus' ship repainted and reworked as some sort of work pod, somethig like Jeffries explored in some of his early sketches? But since I don't have the Know how, the best I can hope for is to table these ideas for others to follow up, that is, if they don't totally suck? (The Ideas. that is).
Yes. It would be very embarrassing if someone walked in and said, "Hey you don't need to use that thing internally for a colon exam--you can just wave it over your body."
That guy would so humiliated.
Short of cost saving, why would I want to do that?

You have a VERY tight budget and Irwin Allen has taken over as producer.
Uhura's earpiece as Leonard James Akaar's pacifier in the season five classic, "Saturday's Child."
This is fun.

Or Fred Freidberg.![]()
That's a brilliant idea, I gotta say.The Nomad unit, already partially reused as a cloaking device in season 3, re-appears in season 4. It serves as Spacedock when the Enterprise visits Earth (an updated version of this scene is done years later in The Search for Spock).
