Qo'noS Ambassador: Ezri Dax

Sell. (Or nay). Dax thought that the Klingon Empire was dieing and that Worf was the only honorable Klingon left! That's not gonna go down well with the Klingon's massive egos.

Jadiza on the other hand...

No, I could barely accept her as a counsellor let alone an ambassador.

Judging from the first post though, this is a binary choice between Ezri and Worf. And from a Federation POV given that choice... definitely Ezri. Worf is too damn close to the Klingons - look how overjoyed Martok is at the idea of him - a close personal friend, a member of his family, and the man who put him on the throne, is going to be the guy charged with representing Federation interests on Kronos.

Really now - whatever Worf says or does, he has a conflict of interest. He's virtually the last person in the whole Federation who should be Fed Ambassador to the Klingons. On that basis, in "Ezri or Worf", Ezri. Buy (with the caveat that there's probably at least a few hundred thousand Federation citizens who would be more appropriate).

Jadiza [sic] on the other hand...
Wouldn't want Jadzia either - since she doesn't have a bumpy forehead, it's not quite as pronounced as Worf, but she was still too cozy with the bat'leth obsessives for comfort in the role.

Nay- that would be a mess, someone so insecure, Gagh made her ill, etc. She wasn't the "klingon" that Curzon and Jadzia (kinda) were.

Worf got what he wanted, in a way, so I'm happy with that.

I agree. Jazdia(had she not died) was experienced enough in Klingon culture that she would have fit right in.

Also, I believe in the novelization for Nemesis it was remarked that Worf wasn't cut out to be an ambassador, thus he was back on the Enterprise-E.

Ezri would be better for the Federation - she would represent its interests, and has a lot of past-life experience to draw on.

Worf is too involved in Klingon politics - there's no way he could keep his own friendships and allegiances separate from his professional duties.

There's no way that Ezri would take the job anyway - and she isn't a great choice for the job, just better than the totally unsuitable choice of Worf.

Personally, I'd keep the Starfleet officers in Starfleet and send a Foreign Service professional.

I hate this idea so much that I just threw up a little in my mouth.

I mean really - the Klingons would NEVER take her seriously.

Jadzia, maybe.

But Ezri? No way.
