And we now pretty much know for a fact that John Henry IS Skynet.

I've always wondered if Skynet had a human body instead of being this Super computer.

Although in the future the new Skynet should be a sophisticated Alice Krig ;)

In the future Skynet can take on any machine body it wants to. But there is a novel (actually its called The John Connor Chronicles) where Skynet comes to the past in a modified body that was based on the Model 101. It was taller by a foot and had a built in weapons array.

"You think in such two-dimensional terms."
"I am the beginning, the end, the one who is many. I am at times an ocean and at times only a drop."

Yeah, after tonight's episode I think you can write off any possibility that Weaver was working for herself.

I missed all the november episodes...somehow Kromartie is John Henry (and likes bionicles) and there's an asian woman with the good guys.

Actually, beyond that I don't think I missed much.

Trip dies on every show he appears.

You've missed roughly eight episodes (and 2.5 is going to focus heavily on them).

Here are the basics (starting with Mister Ferguson is Ill Today).

- Cromartie was destroyed by the Connors at a church in Mexico with the assistance of James Ellison. After the Connors buried him Ellison snuck back over the border and recovered the body.

- Ellison delivered Cromartie's deactivated body to Catherine Weaver in the following episode. John is revealed to be suicidal in the same episode, but he claims to have forgot to check to see if the 9mm was loaded. Sarah entered into counseling along with John because John wouldn't talk to her anymore. John also grew closer to Riley.

- Derek was revealed to have been tortured by a man named Charles Fischer in the future, but has no memory of it. Jesse Flores - a woman he had a relationship with - is the woman who came back. She is an Australian member of the Resistance with a plan of her own (unrevealed). They realized there are alternate timelines intersecting with that of the show.

- Sarah and Cameron pursued the Three Dots from Sarah's dreams trying to tie them with Cyberdyne/Skynet. They went to Dakara systems but this was a red herring.

- Ellison was introduced to John Henry by Catherine Weaver. John Henry killed the psychiatrist who was working on his development. Ellison took on this task.

- Riley was revealed to be from the future. She is working with Jesse on trying to keep John and Cameron apart.

- Cameron was described as having an interest in military history. She averted a Skynet plot to assassinate the Governor of California.

- The Connors rescued another family that Skynet wanted dead. The mother was pregnant with a girl would would mean the survival of the human race because she was immune to a Skynet bioweapon. The mother was killed during delivery and her daughter took the baby and fled.

- We learned Derek was suicidal in the future after learning about Kyle's being MIA. We also learned how he met Jesse.

- John nearly killed a high school classmate while at a party because he tried to hurt Riley.

- Sarah's quest for the three dots took her to a UFO convention where she met a woman who was a man who was pretending to be a woman. She learned that the man/woman was working on a secret project.

- Riley attempted suicide.

- Sarah was shot after infiltrating the base. She killed the man who shot her and crawled out of the building. While she was laying there she watched a Skynet Hunter Killer fly overhead.

How do we know this?

What'd I miss?

- Zeira Corp is stockpiling Coltan - a key ingredient in Terminator construction.

- She told John Henry that everything she does is for him.

- When it was risked that their experiments were going to be detected she went Resident Evil on the men and women working at the outpost. She killed EVERYONE in true T-1000 fashion.

The only thing you forgot to add is that John Henry, the AI, is using Cromartie's body as a vessel to at least experience human tactile contact. So far the AI has not accessed any redundant programming of Cromartie's, but it seems like it's only a matter of time. It was hinted at in tonight's episode that John Henry had discovered a lot of new information via the Internet.

The one thing that doesn't make any sense, if Weaver is working for Skynet, is her decision to teach human ethics to John Henry. It is possible that she is a member of the pro-human peace-loving hippie terminator faction that Cameron originated from, in which case she's paving the way for John Henry to oppose Skynet in the future.

The slaughter of the office workers really does nothing to shed light on her origin and intent, even Cameron is perfectly willing to kill humans when it is pragmatic to do so, and is usually the one to advocate it, in spite of her pro-human anti-skynet programing.

Of course, Ellis might not be the best ethics teacher available. Teaching computers about God rarely turns out well in fiction, and Weaver could be banking on this.

And we still don't know how Jesse is working for, perhaps is a member of a human faction, perhaps she made a deal with Skynet to drive a deeper wedge between Connor and the hippie terminator faction. Nor do we know if anything she said about that human collabrator was true; while it is possible that the timeline is shifting it is just as possible that she was lying to Derrek to manipulate him.

So far, we've got a lot of information, but it provides no answers.

I don't think a ball and socket joint would work well with an organic being. Veins, bones and muscles don't like to twist....

We have a few, shoulders and hips. The problem is dislocation. Ball and socket joints are prone to having the ball slip out of the socket. This happens fairly easily with the shoulder, and is very painful. It can also happen to the hips, though it is less likely than a dislocated shoulder.

Cameron was lying trying to get the location of the Resistance Base from what Summer Glau told TVGuide after the episode aired (she asked the producers). There is no peace wanting faction.

Yeah, it seemed pretty obvious from that episode 'Allison from Palmdale' that Cameron was lying about a new machine faction.

I think that Weaver might be trying to make John Henry more human so that he is more emotional in response to various things, rather than rational. That might be the reason why (as we know from the films) Skynet believes it is under attack by humans and tries to defend itself by launching the nukes and starting the war.

I also think it's becoming almost obvious that Ellison's teachings are going to backfire somehow, but I'm not exactly sure how this will happen.

Remember that at least Jesse is from an alternate future, as we found out in one of the episodes. Maybe in THAT future Cameron betrays or weakens John, but not in the future that Cameron comes from. To make things even more confusing, having both Jesse and Riley come back from their future certainly changed the timeline again, which probably altered BOTH futures. It gets even worse as you go along, but essentially every time someone goes back in time, it alters both the future and the present.

One thing I've also realized....will we ever see what one of those time-travel devices in the future look like?

I don't remember exactly what was shown, but didn't we see a time machine back in the pilot when they traveled from 1999 to 2007 in that bank vault ?

I just totally forgot that Ellis was basically all about Jesus. I just find it annoying that the only way morality can be taught to a machine is through Christianity. At least they've stopped quoting scripture.

Season One: Dungeons & Dragons we saw the transporter captured by the Resistance. Derek was looking at it through the observation window after Cameron took him to meet with John.

I'll never forget Chloe Sullivan saying... "Come on! We'll take my Yaris!"

SMALLVILLE is defintely the king of shameless product placement. Some other gems:

"Accue-Vue contact lens save the day again!"

Or how about the recent bit where Clark and Lois bantered about playing "Guitar Hero" all weekend--which was immediately followed by an ad for . . . Guitar Hero!

Seriously, can you really see Clark and Lois playing Guitar Hero together?
