This book blends Reunion and The Valiant, and I'm curious how it does so. It looks to me like "The Valiant" would be the Prologue, Part 2, and Epilogue, and "Reunion" would be Part 1; is that right?
Or, to ask a different way, does the book Reunion start with the line "In the dream, he was on a crowded shuttlecraft" and end with the line "It was a wonder, Guinan supposed, that her friend had survived the ordeal at all..."?
If I'm wrong about this and the stories were blended differently, how was it done?
This kind of thing annoys the crap out of me; I know it's picayune, but I want to read the novels as originally published, or at least know how they were changed for the second version. I just got the one book because it was cheaper than getting two.
