"26" - Day One

Although I have three series on the go and one in development, I thought I would put an idea out for another one.

"I am Starfleet officer Benjamin Lafayette Sisko...and this is the longest day of my life"

Set immediately after In The Pale Moonlight, Sisko must foil a plot to destabilise the Federation Alliance - stopping someone planting a bomb at the first allied meeting since the Romulans entered the war, while coming to terms with the actions that he was responsible for in the first place.

Because of the length of the Bajoran day, I'll be going from 0.00am-13.00am-14.00pm-25.00pm-0.00am.

The first chapter will be posted over the weekend, if I get around to it.

This sounds quite interesting. I think that 24 is a bad neo-con wet dream, but a version set in the star Trek Universe?.

I'm not sure how well the concept of 24 can work as a written medium. Things will obviously not occur in real time if you write them but I'm curious to see how you plan to realize this and how it will distinguish itself from a 'regular' story.

Have you read a 24 novel? I have and if done well, it can work, provided you have the timing right. My chapters will be longer and I'll be using times for the chapters instead of stardates, plenty of action and enough dialogue to keep the pace moving, I hope.
