I eat two pounds a week, cooked into other stuff. Don't like it by itself much any more.

Sandwiches, burgers, casseroles... When I'm not eating nachos I'm concocting new ways to baconize things.

I went to a local meat shop that sells bacon by the slab a while back and had them slice it up into 3/4th-inch thick strips.

Cook it on the grill...(careful...it will flame up a lot) and then make some killer BBLT sammiches (that's BIG bacon, lettuce & tomato). Chewy and delicious. Very meaty. :techman:

I like bacon in moderation, so my vote of "yes" must be qualified. I hardly consider it "food of the gods," but it's pleasant enough in its place, which is breakfast beside scrambled eggs, hash browns, and a stack of pancakes.

I really like turkey bacon better than pork bacon. Leaner and tastier. And crispy, please!

Turkey bacon is good, makes great sandwiches.

Oh, yeah! Must try. Very low indirect heat, I imagine? I like bacon thick-sliced, but have never had it like that before.

OMG, I love bacon! It has to be crispy almost to the point of being burnt though.

Sometimes for breakfast on the weekends, I'll make breakfast like my mom always did (she still does quite often) cook the bacon, fry eggs in the bacon grease and then put both of those on toast with mayo and a slice of the soft Velveeta cheese. Yummo!!

.....we're from the South so bacon is like a food group.

I have to exercise like a mofo because I will not give up my good ol' southern food!! :bolian:
