Trek wars

In my opinion Star Wars weapons and tech are primitive by Star Trek standards. but since im preaching to the choir on that one, what do you guys think the most affective method a federation ship such as a "galaxy class" would be able to take down a behemoth such as the imperial star destroyer?
(The Imperial-class Star Destroyer 1,600 meters long, bristles with 60 turbolaser batteries, 60 ion cannon batteries, and 10 tractor beam projectors. It carries a full stormtrooper division, 20 AT-ATs, 30 AT-STs, eight Lambda-class shuttles, 12 landing barges, and six TIE squadrons.)
>>if that makes any sence, lol.
But if an x wing can destroy the deth star, i dont beleave tis will be that hard

Midichlorians versus isolytic explosives. It's like setting odds on a match between a unicorn and a dragon.

The classic exegesis of this is on stardestroyer.net, which is a bit biased, but a fun site.

A star wars fan boy posted this question to me, and i rebuttled saying, that the destroyer is only 2.49 times the size of the galaxy class, not to mention that turbo blasters are essentially lasers (wich are next to useless against federation shields). Any one else got any good comments so support or oppose my assumption of a federation win?

a single phaser beam down the orifice of the death star from a couple of million miles away. oh...was this a debate?

Back when I was in fifth grade I created a "movie script," later a book about Trek Wars. Except mine was different than most. It was about me and my friends actually creating Star Trek/Star Wars ships and governments in our current universe. Then doing battle.

I changed this to a link. If you have permission to host this image (if it's your site, for example), let me know and I'll change it back.

Everyone else. If you don't want to discuss the topic, stop posting in it. This is the legitimate place to discuss this and, considering how regularly topics get repeated, this one hasn't actually been mentioned in awhile. Please stay on topic if you wish to continue posting in this thread.

Aren't Star Wars ships unable to fight while in hyper space/warp whatever their version of it is called? I have nothing to back that up, it always just looked that way to me.

I can't believe I'm taking part in this, but the turbolasers=lasers argument sort of falls on its face it you look at the scene in Empire Strikes Back where the Star Destroyer was vaporizing asteroids in one shot.
