A lady who knows how to leave her mark on men

Wow. And all these are totally ignoring the fact that being assaulted is going to be a traumatic thing, and mocking him just because it was a female-on-male attack.

I guarantee, if a man did this to a woman, there'd be outrage. But because the genders are reversed here, he's subjected to all sorts of mockery. There is something VERY wrong with that picture.

This is the readership of The Sun. Blaming women for "getting themselves" assaulted is among their favourite pastimes.

I agree with you, though. It's a shitty attitude that hurts everybody. It re-enforces messages that men are to be mocked for showing any weakness, especially if they've been assaulted by women because everyone knows women don't have the agency necessary to be a threat to 'real' men. And of course men want sex all the time, right? What's a little scarring and trauma in the face of the fact that the dude scored?

It's a creepy creepy narrative.

Doesn't matter how foolish you think he was to put himself in this position. He didn't consent to this; it was assault. Poor guy literally has to live with the reminder carved into his body. It's horrible.

Even more scary is the fact that while the jury dismissed her claim that he'd consented and participated, finding her guilty of unlawful wounding, the judge is planning to let her off with a community order because he's taking account of her claim that it was consensual.

Find me a rape case where that would happen?

Given the fact that the conviction rate for rape is obscenely low just about everywhere, I could probably find you a dozen cases where rape was thrown out because 'she probably consented really' with the bare minimum of Googling. I don't think it's a good idea to go down the road of pitting 'men who get assaulted are pussies and asking for it' against 'women who are assaulted are sluts and asking for it', and asking who gets the worst of it.

It's not about this guy getting a worse deal than a rape victim; I really don't think that's true. It's about the horrible ways we blame victims for being attacked.

Indeed. This is shameful.

Dominique.... Man, this would have been twice as awesome if her name was "Alicia."

Are people seeing different pictures of her than the one I see in the linked article in the OP.

I mean she's cute. But not incredibly special.

I love that while I'm reading this I'm listening to Greens Keepers "Lotion"

Something similar(ish) happened wher eI used to stay. A girl had a one night stand and killed the guy. Worryingly I only found out as both me and a friend had both had encounters with her.

It's a bit shocking if she does get away with community service. You'd have to be a few beers short of a six pack to do that.
