That's the problem with a show that's relatively inventive when it starts out. If it's successful, people's expectation accelerate at a higher rate than is probably realistic.
Doesn't this facility look like the facility where Sarah Connor and crew tried to stop from becoming a Skynet facility and in turn it became more guarded?
