Another "what should I read?" thread...

Hey everybody. I'm just looking for some opinions on what to read before Destiny. Here's the post-Nemesis stuff I've read so far:

Death In Winter
Titan books 1 - 4
Resistance
Q & A

Reading now: Before Dishonor

Planning to read:

Articles of the Federation
Greater than the Sum

Is there anything else I should throw in there that would enhance my reading of Destiny?

Thanks for the input.

Articles chronicles the first year in office of President Nan Bacco; she is elected under special circumstances. Those circumstances are chronicled in A Time To Kill and A Time To Heal, and the election itself is covered in A Time For War, A Time For Peace; those would be the last three books in the A Time To... series (the Enterprise-E for the year pre-Nemesis). It's a 9-book series, but the last three are the important ones, and you won't have any problem jumping in late, I promise. Many people only read the last three.

The story is summarized a couple times in Articles itself, but I'd add those if you're really trying to be a completist. You don't have to read them, Articles will be fine either way, but it helps a bit and they're all three pretty great books.

Thanks for the suggestions. I had actually planned on reading the whole A Time To... series later on (because I am a bit of a completist). Thus, I kind of hate to read the last three prior to the first six. I guess I'll go ahead with AOTF and GTTS for now, then catch up on some other things I want to read like Terok Nor, then read ATT later.

Fair enough. Aside from that, you have an excellent list, I hope you enjoy the books.

Dante's Divine Comedy.

Though that's not quite so vital as GTTS.
True. The Complete Works of Shakespeare are a must, as well (though you could probably leave off Troilus & Cressida if you want to).

Seriously, I too think you've got a good list there. You've got some really good books in store for you!
