My Sister is Dying

Man I am sorry to hear this. I was hoping that something would happen and she woudl get better. I guess I was hoping for a miracle. I am sorry for your loss. Now she has found peace.

Just saw the thread, I'm sorry for your loss, digits. My Dad had to bury his little sister last May due to cancer. It was tough for all of us, but especially the siblings. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

So sorry for your loss Digits.
May she rest in peace from the demon (alcoholism) that plagued her.
Condolances to you and your family.

Condolences, Digits. I can't imagine what you suffered, since it wasn't a sudden death. I hope she has found peace now. My great grandmother died roughly a year ago, and at the time, I couldn't imagine ever feeling better about it... but you will, in time. All the best.

Terrible news. I wish you well, though, and assure you that time will heal these wounds as cliched as that sounds.

So sorry to hear of this, digits. I just lost a niece and went to see my sister, who is inconsolable.

Life is short, and precious. I'm so glad that you got to say goodbye. May the pain fade over time to be replaced by happier memories of her in better days.

Digits ,my deepest sympathies to you and yours for your loss, I only wish I could do more in situtations such as this, but for what it's worth, you and your family will be in the prayers of my family tonight..

Digits, you have my sympathies in your time of loss. Alcoholism is a sad, terrible thing. We lost my uncle to it 2 years ago. I don't know it it will help or not, but be consoled in the fact that you were aware of this ahead of time, and were able to ease her suffering. My uncle died in a car accident, drunk. He probably would have lived, too, had he worn a seat belt.

Parents shouldn't have to bury children, and siblings shouldn't have to bury each other, not at such a young age. Hang in there. :(

I am so very sorry Digits.

Alcoholism is a terrible disease, not only it destroys the alcoholic's life, but also the lives of all who are close to him/her.
I hope you and your family will find peace in knowing, as you yourself said, that she is finally free. But at what cost. My heart goes out to you.

*hugs T'Bonz* Had no idea. Very sorry for your loss as well. :(

My condolences to you and your family. Death is one thing that's never easy to face. RIP.

Very very sorry to hear this Digits. :(:( I two have dealt with this twice. Once with my Uncle who died at 37 and my girlfriend. Thankfully my girlfriend had a wakeup call and has been sober five years yesterday. You have dealt with this way better than I ever could Digits. You are a loving brother and Im glad your sister had you there with her. Thoughts and prayers man.
