My collection is too big for me to bother typing out, at the current time including movies it takes up almost 3 full bookshelves, but I've got all of Buffy, Angel, B5, TNG, DS9, ENT, Quantum Leap, Alias, Red Dwarf, Farscape, The X-Files, SG1 and SGA amongst others.
It's a must, if I want to be able to find anything in a sizable collection of books or films. Unfortunately, reorganizing it when you get something new is a serious pain in the ass and takes the better part of an hour. Sometimes it's hard to motivate myself to do it, in fact I should do it sometime this week.
Got rid of some stuff a while back and regret it. Smallville- (1-6 will buy 7 soon) Stargate SG-1 1-10 Stargate Atlantis (1-3 will buy 4 soon) Battlestar Galactica (1 and 2 will get the rest soon) Firefly Dawson's Creek (1-6) One Tree Hill (1-4 will get 5 eventually) The OC (1-4) Lost (1 will get the rest of the show) Friday Night Lights (1 will get the rest) A ton of WWE PPv's and compilation sets Shows I eventually plan on getting not mentioned above. All of Star Trek TNG, Voyager, DS9 and Enterprise Supernatural Eureka Veronica Mars Boston Legal How I Met Your Mother The Big bang Theory Torchwood Doctor Who House Prison Break Deadwood Rescue Me Chuck Alias (never watched the series) NCIS Brothers and Sisters The West wing

So is it just me or does it annoy the crap out of anyone when halfway during the DVD release run of a series they change the theme of the coverart? (SEE "The Simpsons") Makes me mad beyond belief, especially when the spines don't match up properly. I want continuity in my artwork dammit!!! CONTINUITY!!!!! Man, I'm sad.
Robotech- Season 7? Huh???? I have the 3 main stories: Macross Saga/The Southern Cross/New Generation (all 85 original US TV episodes) + "The Sentinels" pilot (which was tragically never led to an actual TV series- It was nice that it was continued in novel form however) Am I missing something other than "The Shadow Chronicles" feature-length story?
^ Maybe they mean set 7? That would mean the last half of New Gen. You've got everything aside from the superior Japanese shows they were derived from.
Actually, what really got my goat was when SG1 switched to slimcases midstream, and after I had already collected half of the series. Asthetically, it's not a big deal (though I wouldn't mind everything matching), but it just annoys me that the slim packs are so much better space-wise, but I refuse to double-dip!
I just bought Six Feet Under: The Complete Set yesterday for $60 from Amazon. I'm too lazt to type out what I have, loads of cartoons, however why did someone have 6 boxes of B5 when the show only lasted 5 seasons? Did the movies get their own boxset?
American Dad! Volumes 1-3 Angel Seasons 1-5 Band of Brothers Batman: The Animated Series Volume 1 Battlestar Galactica Seasons 1-4.0 Buffy the Vampire Slayer Seasons 1-5 Family Guy Volumes 1-6 Family Guy: Blue Harvest Family Guy: Stewie Griffin - The Untold Story Firefly Futurama Volumes 1-4 Futurama: Bender's Big Score Futurama: The Beast with a Billion Backs Futurama: Bender's Game Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law Volumes 1-3 Heroes Volumes 1-2 Highlander Seasons 1-6 Looney Tunes Golden Collection Volume 1 Robot Chicken Seasons 1-3 Robot Chicken: Star Wars The Simpsons Seasons 1-3 Stargate: SG-1 Season 1 Supernatural Seasons 1-4 The Venture Bros. Seasons 1-2 Walt Disney Treasures: The Complete Goofy I have no idea why I don't have any of Farscape. It's one of my favorite shows. And now after a quick look around online, I can't seem to find any of the Starburst Edition sets for a decent price!
My collection is also in alphabetical order, but unlike some other people my movies are mixed in with my TV shows. Closer views of the 2 shelves: http://i356.photobucket.com/albums/oo5/Bluth54/Purchases043Large.jpg http://i356.photobucket.com/albums/oo5/Bluth54/Purchases044Large.jpg I only do it every few months, it would be too annoying to do it more often then that.
Yeah, I usually wait until 5 or 6 series start to pile up and then I do the massive radical restructuring.
