Good, then they will stay. :)

I'm glad I'm headed in a good direction. Once this is done, I can build something different, for a change. :)

:) It's just the default Blender color, with Ambient Occlusion turned on, with a ambience and spec level of 0.25. :)

I think it turned out very well. Certainly my best model to date. :)

After Galactica goes off, I will try and rig up the spotlights, and make a wallpaper or two.

    Any requests?

Beautiful work, it really looks awesome...HUGE nacelles, but they seem appropriate for this design.

    Maybe some ortho views? :D

Very well indeed. I haven't done a count :) , but there were so many "you're really helping me like this design" comments. This certainly was a great thread.

I'd love to see your take on more of the conjecture/movie stuff....
the Nar....? romulan squid ship, heck, a 3-D rendering of the new bridge?

LOL. Yeah, sorry. You know, I almost recycle-bin-ed (?) those, after the toy photos came out. I need to start over, using MadMan orthos as a base reference.

    Thanks everybody. :)

I'm calling this one done, except for maybe the deflector dish, I might mess with that texture some, I'm not sure it stands up against the rest of the texturing job.

    :)

Anyone else have photobucket try to install antivirus2009 on their box? I was uploading these latest pictures, and I had to fight to get past it. Thankfully I was using FireFox. :)

I think I might take a jab at the Narada next... Even though it looks like a pile of old scrap wire. :)

The black delta on the clamshell doors - is that on the toy?

Nope, I just thought it needed something back there. :)

OK, here's a better looking dish...

Ok, one minor nitpick. As you can see in this image: http://img518.imageshack.us/img518/1628/constitutionclasstrekxivj8.jpg there seems to be a few extra windows on the engine hull that were covered up by that big shuttle in the way in the original pic release. A small detail for sure, but one that could probably be added without too much trouble.

I see what you mean. It looks like there may be another "bank" of them, up in front of the row that is there.

That's a fantastic job MadMan. It is probably close to how the real ship looks. The only thing I notice, is that the "air intake" looking things where the pylons connect to the nacelles look too wide. In the image of the real Enterprise, they look like more of a rounded point. Also, the shame of your bridge is slightly inaccurate when comparing it with the toy.

However, these are just minor nitpicks.

Yep, I agree with both of those comments. :)

The intake things, I really had a hard time getting them to line up at all, so I was happy they turned out as well as they did.

The bridge, if the toy is accurate, looks like that area is much narrower than I have made it, but I didn't want to re-built that entire portion after the new pics came out. If I ever re-build this, it will be after I have some very accurate blueprints to work from. I think this model will suffice for quite a while, though. :)
