I use Firefox, both on my personal computer and Firefox portable on my flash drive.

I use Firefox... but I would give Microsoft some credit. IE is sucking less these days.
That's true, they've really been stepping up their game now that they're loosing market share to Firefox. IE is now at 70%, Firefox at 20%, Safari at 7% and everything else has to share the rest.

I don't think IE stinks but I have certain reasons for preferring Firefox....and I will not discuss them.

Yeah, friend of mine have used it because it allowed them to use certain pirated movie sites. Lame.

IE8 of course, nothing beats Microsoft.

I prefer Firefox, but IE has gotten a lot better. Chrome I did have, and I liked its zippiness, but it lacks some of the functions I like in Firefox. I have not used Safari or Opera, but I know people who swear by them.

Safari, without question.

I like it because of its built-in RSS reader.

Although if Firefox or Opera have such a thing as well, I'd love to hear about it...
I don't really use these, but see if any of them do what you're asking about. The first is built in, the second lists a number of add-ons.

Firefox (PC) at home, Safari (Mac) at work. Not exactly sure why, but that's how I roll for now.

IE annoyed me greatly, years ago. No reason to revist it now.

I run Chrome as my default browser but have a few issues with it, notably its erratic behaviour with respect to the Copy/Paste commands (could be an OS-level issue, I don't use them often outside web browsing) and vBulletin spoiler code.

I use Firefox for the security and the multitude of add-ons, though it's gotten to the point now where I almost dread new Firefox version updates, because there's almost always some kind of glitch where I have to mess around for while to get things back to the way I like it. Performance isn't what it once was, either. There are always slow downs and crashes each day.

Google Chrome is fast and has a nice layout, as does Opera, but until they can compete in terms of add-ons and features I'll remain loyal to Firefox.

"Firefox: Microsoft stinks!"

The add-ons, especially NoScript, BBCodeXtra, Converter, Permit cookies and PageStyle2Tab, are what keeps me on the Fox.
It seems a bit more resource demanding for every new version though.
Firefox, although Microsoft don't stink. Their browser sucks, but a company that has produced the most successful consumer OS ever and the best Office package on the market doesn't 'stink'.
The fact that MS products are the most successful on the market doesn't mean they don't stink, it only means that MS is better at selling their products than anyone else (even than those giving the product away for free).

I've been happily using Firefox for several years, but I haven't tried all the others.

I tried chrome out at my work as well. I liked it but had some issues with it as well. It would crash on me every couple of days. I stopped working with it but will try again in the future. give them time to work out the kinks.

Firefox it is! I've also tried Opera but did not get used to it and I also have to admit that IE is much better than it used to.

How come you people "have" to use IE at work? Can't you install another browser if you want to?

For us at work, nope. They don't want you putting anything on other than authorised purchased software.

It's not even a newer version of IE:(

I was laptop-less for a few months over the summer so I was relegated to using my ancient Windows 98 machine. Wouldn't be a huge gripe except FireFox won't run on it. Hence I was thrust back into the cold, harsh world of IE. Needless to say, I was pig-in-shit-happy when I got my notebook back and could go back to using a decent browser.

I love FF and I'm one of those people who get really pushy with my friends IRL when I discover they're still running IE Flintstones-style.

I've switched to Chrome. Fast, and has all the features I need to use.

I have to use IE for a couple of websites still though. (bank and time sheet entry for our paycheck service)

That argument can be made for Windows (which is why I said 'successful' not 'best'), but, imho, there is no office package on the market that comes close to rivalling MS Office, which is why I said 'best'. OpenOffice.org just doesn't compare, it's a Fisher Price version of real Office.

Um why is Opera in the list but Chrome isn't? Chrome is higher profile and with, I believe, higher market share than Opera. Not to mention Chrome is FASTER than Firefox and IE.

Anyways, my answer, despite the speed issue, is Firefox, because of its open and easy extensions process. Ad-block plus is great and the main reason I haven't switched to Chrome full time. I still use Chrome now and again though.

I will definitely give the next release of Chrome another shot though.

I find it extremely funny that Chrome has a bigger marketshare then Opera after being available for only a few months. I'm sure the people at Opera aren't very happy about that.

Apparently Firefox 3.1 has a new Javascript engine that's way faster then the one currently in Firefox. I don't know if it will be as fast as Chrome, but I can't wait for 3.1.
