I've been a Firefox fanatic for a while but am liking the speed of Opera. What's your favorite browser and why?

I like Firefox. I've used it for a while and really haven't had any issues with it. (Only had that old memory issue on one website when using Version 2)

I haven't tried Safari yet (one day) and it's been a while since Opera, so I may retry that at some point.

I use Firefox for the add-ons, but I really want to use Google's Chrome. When I tried it at launch I found it to be extremely fast and stable and I was a big fan of the style of the thing. But I need my Google toolbar for various things and since Google has not yet made their browser compatible with their toolbar, I am still using Firefox.

I've been a Firefox user for a couple of years now, although I do have to use IE at work.

Firefox, although Microsoft don't stink. Their browser sucks, but a company that has produced the most successful consumer OS ever and the best Office package on the market doesn't 'stink'.

I use Firefox 3.0. I love it for all the addons I can install.
For example, since I use firefox on three different computers, I have the FoxMarks addon that syncs my bookmarks. Very neat.

Your poll misses Google Chrome btw.

I use Firefox... but I would give Microsoft some credit. IE is sucking less these days.

Safari, without question.

I like it because of its built-in RSS reader.

Although if Firefox or Opera have such a thing as well, I'd love to hear about it...

OmniWeb... I've been using it for about 12 years now, and have always preferred it for my normal browsing needs. :techman:

Firefox it is! I've also tried Opera but did not get used to it and I also have to admit that IE is much better than it used to.

How come you people "have" to use IE at work? Can't you install another browser if you want to?

It varies. I use both browsers at work and home depending on what I'm doing. I've never noticed a major difference between either of them. Even IE8 works well under Windows 7, which is what I'm using at the moment to type this.

No, not me. I work from home, using the company website. Unfortunately, the twits who created the database made sure it would only work with IE.
