Pizza Hut's "The Natural" Pizza - Crap

Thick crust pizzas are horrible for you.

RAMA

So? ;)

I don't eat pizza because it's healthy. ;)

I'm pointing out there are alternatives. You can have your pizza and eat it too!

The best is a nice homemade Greek pizza, in my opinion. Fresh ingredients and quality feta or goat cheese make for a much more flavorful, much healthier pizza than you'd find in just about any restaurant.

Mmm Pizza... damn. I was interested in trying this but your review makes sense
when I think about it. Most stuff ends up crappy when they attempt to make
it "All Natural" instead of good. I'll take the unhealthy choice everytime if it
means actually enjoying it. It's all about delivery. Something can be the
healthiest food on the planet but if it isn't appetizing it's not worth eating.

I finally found a REAL place that serves REAL gyros around here. I always add feta there, too.

Weird...I don't care for cucumbers generally, but tzatziki sauce is heavenly!

Chains I have a fondness for: Godfather's Pizza, Mr. Gatti's Pizza, Cottage Inn Pizza, Rocky Rococco's, and one other one whose name I forget.

You should've ordered from Papa John's instead.

They're effing awesome.

PJ's are better than alot of traditional Gothamite pizzerias even. Gotham pizza places period!

At least according to my tastebuds/imo.

And I know New Amsterdam's pizza better than the back of my hand dude(s).

Pizza Huts not half-bad. Like'em. Love their Tuscan pasta dishes.

But............while PH's pizza is delish, I prefer Domino's & PJ's for pizza if not good ole Gothamite pizza {most of the time}.

I'd go to PJ's much more often, but its usually eaaier/cheaper for me to get “real” New Amsterdam/Gothamite pizza, being my community is “polluted” by NA/Gothamite pizzerias.

PS: I 2nd that thing about Feta cheese. It is frikking incredible:drool:

Stop making me hungry! We have shitty Greek restaurants here in Austin. :scream:

I know a Greek family that owns a pizza joint just outside Chicago, that make NY style pie and have toppings like feta, Kalmata olive and gyros. All you need to remember is damned good.

How do you put a gyro on a pizza?

Though a gyro pizza would be interesting...

The tziki sauce instead of tomato sauce and then the turkey-loaf meat as the "topping" the crust something closer to a pita bread, some fesh tomatoes and onions scattered on top.

Being a pizza cheese has to be worked in some how -something not normally linked to gyros- but I could see a -dry heave- feta or maybe some other light white cheese on it. Maybe jack cheese or a light swiss?

I really miss Mr. Gatti's Pizza. In high school my friend and I were allowed to skip half of our after-lunch math class as long as we brought the teacher some garlic bread from Gatti's.

I see what you did there.

Trekker, the key is to add just a small amount of feta. Keep the traditional whole milk mozz.

It would be a parmesano sauce similar to that which fettucine is served in (an Alfredo-type). The feta would bring out the tang.

Actually, my favorite pizza with feta was a BBQ Chicken pizza. The feta really added an amazing counterpoint to the sweet sauce and red onions. Good stuff.

All the gyros I've ever encountered have a "tziki" sauce in it (a garlicy cucumber and yougurt sauce.)

It's spelled tzatziki and pronounced like "sat-seeky" with a bit of a t sound at the front of both s sounds.

It wouldn't work on a pizza (it's made with a yogurt base) unless added after baking.
