I'm a disgusting slob.

It's delicious

These two phrases work about as well together as "George Steinbrenner" and "model human being."

Exactly! :techman: :D

Nice to see your enthusiastic support of a convicted felon. ;)

seriously though, I don't get all the LJS hate. So it's basically fast food...big deal. Hastily prepared fish is still fish...yeah, I'm sure that conspiracy theories abound as to its source, but those are a dime a dozen anyway.

To me, it's the same as calling a Big Mac a quality burger, a Pizza Hut stuffed crust a quality pizza, a Subway a quality sandwich, Olive Garden quality Italian pasta, KFC quality chicken or Taco Bell quality Mexican.

There's mass-produced junk intended to taste bland and be perfectly acceptable, and then there's the hand-battered (from a family recipe), pressure-fried chicken at Jack's Chicken Palace down the street from me, or any of the fabulous meals that come from the kitchen at Mario's Italian Diner downtown. I prefer ingredients that are actually put together and used to craft a dish from scratch in the kitchen, as opposed to something that's frozen, shipped all over the nation and then thrown onto a conveyor belt or into a deep-fryer, designed to be as undistinguished as possible.

A pardoned one, I might add. :p

(Only problem I personally have with the man is that he wasn't there for the final game at Yankee Stadium)

Well, to be fair, I never implied any of those things. I never said LJS was quality fish, I said it was delicious. I don't care how cheap it is (and I agree, it is), I simply *enjoy* eating it. And I do like more upscale food too. Just not every week...

And for those lucky enough to actually live within a reasonable distance of places like that, more power to them. The closest I can get is, I live a block away from Warren Buffett's favorite steak house (Gorat's), but I never go there, 'cuz...well, let's say it could use a bit of upkeep...

It's good enough for one of the richest men in the world, but not for you? What's wrong with this picture?
