Hot and Cold

Yesterday it was 34C (93F) in Hobart which I consider too hot.

I think anything over 30C (86F) is too hot.

I think 22C-25C (about 72F-77F) is an ideal temperature.

I think any temperature under about 8C (46F) is too cold.

So what is your ideal temperature, and what temperatures do you consider it to be tpoo hot and too cold?

^Canadians.

Ideal temp is about 85F. I'm happy anywhere between 78-95, really. Too hot would be anything above 95 or anything above 90 with humidity over 80%, though outdoors I can easily tolerate anything up to about 100 or so, regardless of the humidity. Too cold is anything below 65, I guess. Really too cold is anything below freezing, which is what they're predicting for the next week or so here. Again, damn Canadians and their damn Alberta Clippers!

I find that 18-22 is generally ideal, 25 or more tends to be too hot, and anything below -10 is too cold.

If the wind is calm I'm fine down to 32F for short times. For extended periods, I'd prefer at least 65F. I start getting too warm if I'm in temps over 85F for extended times.

So, you're pretty much miserable from June through September, eh? :p

Anything above around 85F (30C) and I start getting uncomfortable. And when it gets below 0F (-18C) I start complaining. Obviously I deal better with cold than I do with heat.

I grew up in Seattle, and I think the weather there is ideal. I love a mild climate: 55-75 F (about 12-24 C). The weather is something I hate about NYC; hot, humid summers and frigid, 5 month winters. The high tomorrow is 22. Yay.

I love all temperatures that we get here in New England. I don't have a limit either way as far as I can tell.

With regard to the heat, I typically play 1 on 1 basketball in 90 degree temps during the summer for 2-3 hours. Drink plenty of water before, during and after.

I love the heat and am perfectly happy when its 115 degrees (or more, if I'm on the water) outside.

Cold just pisses me off. If it's below 75, I'm crying like a little bitch.

20C is fine. Anything above is annoying. I can live with anything down to zero or even below.

I actually had a poll on this very subject awhile back. :)

I'd love to see my sample size grow--as it seems I'm quite unusual (borderline "Cardassian" in my temperature preferences!!! :cardie:). I thrive in the heat, absolutely die in the cold. MissChicken, I wish you'd send your weather MY way!!!

It frequently goes over 38C here during the summer, so my "too hot" line is a little bit higher than yours -- say about 35C, depending on the humidity level -- but I definitely agree that 8C and below is too cold. 25C is just about perfect, as far as I'm concerned.

The highest it has ever been in Hobart is 40.8C (about 105F). The coldest it has ever been is -2.8 (about 27F). It only get belows freezing in Hobart a couple of nights per year.

The highest temperature I have ever experienced was about 45C (113F) at Kagoorlie, Western Australia. I found that far more bearable than I find 35C in Hobart is because the heat in Ka;goorlie was a very dry heat.
