For the most part Ive been eating like a lazy student, so Ive been eating left over chili.

I found this huge batch of Bombay Potatoes in the BR. Nobody was around to claim them, so I ate them all. Delicious!

Hey!

A year ago all we could do was microwave or use a hotplate since we didn't have an oven. In the last month we got both a bbq and a rotisserie oven, so some wonderful things have been coming out of our kitchen - especially in the last week. Last night I put a small eye of round in the rotissery and Saturday night I bbq's 4 steaks juuuuust ahead of the snowstorm that swept in. I kept it simple until I got the hang of the controls on the grill. But they came out fantastic and (once we finish all this food) I'm going to bbq a crapload of drumsticks

To be honest, my usual meals aren't particularly memorable but are sufficient for my needs, although I did treat myself to a fold-up pizza from Aldi the other night.

This weekend, however, the menu shall be interesting. [It's because the parents are coming round, right? - someone] Er, yeah....

Wife-unit is in the hospital as of today so Sunday night we had a modified form of Eggs Benedict: English Muffin, egg, Crab-Cake, slice of cheddar, instant cream-sauce from a packet... and a side of Velveeta Mac And Cheese with peperoni chopped up in it... and a second side of cheese-potatoes with bacon chopped up in 'em.

Tonight, I'm having the Hot-Pocket and a glass of water. She's having the "noodle casserole" and "Daily Vegetable" or so she thinks. I plan to smuggle her up some Subway this evening. :D

The tastiest thing I made all week is also actually perhaps the laziest meal I know how to make. Throw one cup rice, one cup mixed sansai, and half a salmon filet into a rice cooker, douse with tamari, cook fifteen minutes and top with mayo and another dousing of tamari.

There's a name for it, but it escapes me at the moment.

last night I had an Artemis

there's a place near my house called Dorian's that's a Greek pizza shop, and they also serve sandwiches and Gyros etc . . . they have a selection of 12 sandwiches named for greek gods

the Artemis is ham, cheese, fried chicken strips, tomato, lettuce and russian dressing on a sub roll :D

If you eat a lot of those, then listen to Lynyrd Skynyrd records, you may find yourself collapsing into an Artemis pyle. ;)

"Salmon Chanted Evening"?

...My work here is done. :p

Jacket potato and cheese. Really. I have a serious thing for potato and cheese dishes.

I don't have pics but I made a broccoli, cheese, rice and chicken casserole. I just kind of made it up as I went but it was so good and the hubby went on and on about it.

This is pretty much the ingredients:

rice (cooked)
chicken (I like to get the rotisserie ones from the store and just pull it off the bone and chop it up)
frozen broccoli cuts (cook according to directions)
broccoli and cheese condensed soup
Italian bread crumbs
shredded cheddar cheese

All mixed up and put in a casserole dish. Put some extra cheese on top if you want. I did. Bake at 350 for about 20 minutes.

If anybody has any questions about what to do specifically (in case you're not good at throwing stuff together), feel free to PM me. :)
