The 11th doctor's new wardrobe

ill use it on here, people in this forum will know what its about, even if the people on the other forums think im a bit strange

Well, back on topic...while I think that RTD approached the Doctor's costume from the idea that he's someone who doesn't stand out too much from a crowd, there's no idea what direction Moffat will go since he's been said to have been a fan of Doctor Who since he was a kid, so I'm pretty sure he's very familiar with the more eccentric style of the earlier Doctors.

Personally, I think the "goth" outfit in the publicity photo could work, but I also think it's a little bit too close to that of the Ninth Doctor's. Perhaps replace the blazer with a hooded jumper and add a backwards-turned ball cap.

Maybe a running joke could be "This guy is a doctor?"

I posted this on another thread, but I think the dark look could work if he had a colourful scarf, not a Tom Baker type scarf, something smarter.

...but, yeah, I could see how the publicity photo outfit could work with a contrasting smaller scarf. It would be his trademark, and every Doctor's gotta have one, even if it's something subtle.

but you dont drag yours around alien planets, alien space ships, it doesnt have to survive attacks by the Daleks, the Master, Romana tugging at it to get your attention or it getting caught up in K9 wheels when the little dog accidentally runs over it.

Point taken.

I dunno. I really can't see myself getting into the goth look and recurring jokes along the lines of "YOU'RE a Doctor?"

i could get behind a baseball cap, if worn properly. or maybe a beret worn like the 'hip' kids do. or even a back-to-front flat cap like the 'cool' kids...

I like the outfit from the publicity shot...it does reflect the Ninth's leather jacket outfit (which I dug) but it seems to fit the actor.
