This actually sounds quite fun in a throwaway action movie sort of way. If they try to turn it into some sort of serious message film where the mercs see the light, I will not be happy.

We'll find out that Stallone's character is blind, Lundgren's character is deaf, Statham's character is autistic and Li's character is wheelchair bound, thus making it an Oscar-caliber mercenary for hire movie.

It's now being reported that Stallone is courting Sandra Bullock to play a government agent, who would be Forrest Whitaker's partner. It's also looking like Stallone, Lundgren, Statham and Li will all be mercenaries.
In related news, Freddy Krueger, Luke Skywalker, K.I.T.T., Satan, Pavel Chekov, Snoopy, and a classic Cylon have also been added to the cast.

I'm excited to hear about this (read a bit about it on AICN too). That is one cast of awesome. Seeing all those action movie actors together in one spot is just too cool. All the trailer needs are their names, an explosion and the title!
When they cast Optimus Prime it'll make it an instant classic.

So who else do they need to get? Eric Roberts? Gary Busey? Carl Weathers? Rutger Hauer? Michael Biehn? Michael Ironside? Powers Boothe? Clancy Brown? Lance Henriksen? Ron Perlman? Bruce Campbell? William Shatner?
There has to be cameos from Schwarzenegger, Willis and Russell.

Even if Arnold can't actually shoot scenes they could still include him. Show footage of him on tv as the Governor. With smart ass comments from the cast! It would follow the trend of President Schwarzenegger jokes in Demolition Man. Also the Stallone as Terminator jokes in The Last Action Hero.
