Zach Quinto insults "Star Trek" nerds and hillbillies!

Filmways and DesiLu should NEVER connect!

Being a child of the late-1960s, I just heard Leonard Nimoy say, "This has been a Filmways presentation, darlings."

And no, I won't explain the, "darlings," other than to say, "Deep space is the place to be. Star trekkin is the life for me...," and so on.
Darlin'

I love you but gimme Park Avenue.... ... ... ... and flapjacks. ;) :D

"...Space, spreadin' out so far and wide. Keep the Earth and give me a starship ride."

You are my wife....
Good bye city life.....

Star Trek Acres we are there.....

Sorry if this isn't much better, but I didn't want to waste any more than 15 minutes on it...

Let me tell a story 'bout a boy named Jim,
A bratty Iowan, crashed a classic 'vette on a whim.
One night in a bar he got drunk and caused a stir,
and into the bar stepped a guy named Christopher
Captain Pike....of Starfleet.
Well, the first thing You know ol' Jim's a space cadet,
He then realized "I was quite an ass when I crashed my Uncle's vette".
"Outer Space is the place I oughta be",
So he hopped on a shuttle and he went to the NCC...
1701, that is; A Starship...The Enterprise.

Did ya' know dat

Green Acres
Beverly Hillbillies
Petticoat Junction

Are all related to one another through the town Hooterville ?

So, it's only natural we'd cross all these theme songs like this ;)

* I think there's another show that links to Hooterville as well *

Im offended that Quinto didn't trash Hippies , I'm a self proclaimed hippy and hippies believe in things like peace and diplomacy and Ideals that Star Trek embraces, I'm also offended as a Beatles fan , I mean the Beatles had a sort of bowl cut.

"Green Acres Canon":

Granny from 'The Beverly Hillbillies' came to Hooterville to help deliver Betty Jo's and Steve's baby on 'Petticoat Junction', and Mr. Drysdale once went to Hooterville thinking he would find Howard Hughes there (he in fact found Howard Hewes, who ran the Hooterville airport).

HOWEVER, there was also an episode of 'Green Acres' in which Eb had a glow-in-the-dark picture (i.e. a publicity shot) of the cast of 'Beverly Hillbillies', basically admitting that it was just a TV show.

This would be like if they made an episode of 'Voyager' showing Tom Paris watching old filmation Star Trek:TAS cartoons on his TV.

Then again, 'Green Acres' was always meant to be absurd.

A better question might be.....

Why do we both know this useless trivial stuff ?

* It's not like they made a Pop Culture edition of Trivial Persuit.... *

Funny story, and no offense intended.

I was down at the Best Buy yesterday but I got there early, it wasn't open yet. I, along with half of a parking lot full of others was sitting in our cars doing whatever while waiting for 10:00 O'Clock when a black 70's Chevy van with a "Bong Street Clothing" logo on the side pulled in and parked.

A fairly respectable looking, working class hippy gets out, making his way to the door. I remember being impressed by his sense of style despite the obvious hippy aura surrounding him.

Every eye in the lot is watching him as he approaches the door - which doesn't automatically open and he walks square into it, to all our amusement :guffaw:

On topic... Eh. Sarcastically, not your best. C+

No those three were it. But what people don't recall is that the three shows actually occurred in three separate timelines. The Granny who appeared on Petticoat Junction was not the Granny from The Beverly Hillbillies, for example.

Oh, and, Bug Tussle. (Just felt like typing it.)

On thread: umm. Never mind.

I'm not sure what I was thinking here...I finally gave up on it.

Three Timelines.....
That means that, Hooterville was a Multiverse nexus !

SO, that's where Bob Orci got the idea from, along with everyone else who ever even played with the idea of Quantum Theory w/ Many Worlds.

So...

Nero goes back in time and blows up the 'Canonball' while it is parked outside of Sam Drucker's General Store. The explosion rips through the store, killing Uncle Joe Bradley and Fred Ziffle, who were playing a game of checkers on top of the pickle barrel. Without Fred Ziffel around, Arnold Ziffle becomes someone's breakfast instead of the world's smartest pig.

Of course, Arnold Ziffle fans shouldn't be too upset, since Roberto Orci assures us that Quantum Physics tells us that the Arnold we are all familiar with is alive and well and living with the Ziffles in an alternate universe somewhere.
