Why not? The Actor has expressed an interest in the role for some time now, and Tennant leaving Who and Atlantis being cancelled happened at roughly the same time iirc.

im sure the BBC Doctor Who website will have something up fairly quickly, dont worry it wont be more than 5 minutes before its somewhere on the internet

The show does not start till 5.35 uk time at the moment its 5.07.
